Innisfree Cushion Foundation India Review
Over the years there have been many innovations in the beauty community, namely the Beauty blenders, putty products, various types of brushes and so on. Some of them have actually changed the game while some have disappeared. One of recent innovations which is here for good, is my favorite cushion foundation.
Again, we owe it to Koreans for this innovation, like BB creams. Korean women are known for their lengthy skincare routines, involving up to10- 12 different steps. Their quest for perfect skin extends to makeup as well. BB cream, which was a huge global trend, came out of Korea, and so did its cushion foundations.
A cushion foundation is a liquid formula in a compact. We all know Compacts are super convenient in terms of application (touch ups), but they come only in powder or heavy cream formulas. Liquid Foundation comes in a bottle or a tube, and is by far the most popular formulation globally, when it comes to foundation. Now, the best of both worlds have come together in one. The liquid foundation is in a sponge-like cushion, hence the name.
Obviously, seeing its craze now, brands are not only offering foundations but also blushes and highlighters in cushion form. I was excited to try these and when I heard Innisfree has launched their cushion foundation I immediately bought one along with many other products.
Now, in Innisfree these foundation have to be bought in 3 parts one is the cushion (costs Rs.900), 2nd is the cushion case(costs Rs600) and 3rd is tool for application(costs rs.300-400). And once the product gets over one has to just purchase the cushion again and not everything else.
There are 2 ranges -one is Long wear cushion- this settles down little matte and other one is Water fit cushion- this is for dry skin beauties who like a hydrating dewy look. And for application, they have various tools like a brush, sponge and a stamping puff
Though I have a slightly dry skin I bought the Long wear range because I felt like it gave me more coverage than the Water fit one. And I bought the shade N31 which was the darkest shade and also a little bit light for me (which was disgusting for a brand to launch in India with such shade range) And I purchased stamping puff for application as I got the sponge free due to some offer running at that time.
- Innisfree cushion foundation Price- Rs.1850 (900+600+350)

My Experience with Innisfree Cushion Foundation India :-
I have never been a fan of cakey makeup so I was very keen to try this product. As far as coverage is concerned, it has sheer coverage which is slightly buildable. The finish of this is matte, so oily skin beauties can also use this. The shade range is pathetic. I have a wheatish complexion and this is the darkest shade and you can see in the images that this is also light for me. The applicator I bought soaks a lot of product and is useless. Honestly, any good foundation brush will work with this product. Rather I have noticed that with brushes, I get a better coverage.
I love using this foundation when my skin is behaving well and has no breakouts. It is “good for my skin but better” look. It would work great for people who have spotless skin and just want little coverage to even out the skin tone. But I have blemishes and I want little more coverage from my foundations. So I use this and a medium coverage concealer for my blemishes and that’s good enough for the base makeup. On me it has lasted for 4-5hrs, post that it just disappears.
So summing up, things I liked about Innisfree cushion foundation:-
- It has Real Jeju Green Tea for moisturizing that immediately hydrates your skin to make it clean and vivid
- Gives perfect coverage with flawless application
- The Jeju volcanic cluster powder controls superfluous sebum for long-lasting makeup without darkening.
- A triple function – sun protection + wrinkle improvement + whitening
- Comes with SPF50 PA+++
Things I didn’t like about Innisfree cushion foundation:-
- It is expensive
- Pathetic shade range
- Sheer coverage
Would I repurchase?
No I wouldn’t repurchase Innisfree cushion foundation, only because my exact shade isn’t available but wouldn’t mind trying other brands.
