Maybelline Color Jolt Matte Intense Lip Paint Flaunting My Pink 08 Review
I am back with one more shade from the Color Jolt Matte Intense Lip Paint range. I have already reviewed the shades Vanity Violet & Vamp Red and this is the third shade I got from the range! Coming to these lip paints, I love these for the amazing staying power and texture. They do not budge at all even with heavy meals! The shades are unique and so lets see if this shade is worth giving a try or not!

It is so small (quantity is 5ml) that you can practically carry 4-5 lip paints in your clutch easily. It is also travel friendly. The applicator is really easy to use and is something a novice too can use perfectly. I love how it glides on the lips without applying much efforts.
My Thoughts about Maybelline Color Jolt Matte Intense Lip Paint Flaunting My Pink 08
I was not sure about how this shade would look on me but I got too excited from the name and got it. Let me tell you first this is totally a summer wear shade and will wash our wheatish or deeper skin tones completely. It suits milky fair skin tones perfectly and if you a re medium fair then this might work well for you but still apply a tester at the counter before picking it because it comes out to look quite light than the shade as it appears on the tube!
Shade– this is mainly a coral toned bubblegum pink shade which looks a perfect light coral in normal light but under camera flash looks a warm toned pink lipstick with deep coral undertones. The shade is exclusive for milky-fair & fair beauties. Do not pick it if you are slightly wheatish or have not so fair complexion as it will not look appealing at all!
Texture– The other two shades I tried had a creamy consistency and were quite smooth on the lips but somehow this lip color looks a little flaky in spite of the fact that I used a lip balm beneath. It was something unexpected. Somehow the texture disappointed me this time!
Pigmentation– Since the pigmentation is semi-sheer I had to swipe it multiple times to cover my lips. Dark lips might not find this shade great after all constant swiping will also make the lips a little dry & flaky!
Staying power– It stays on for about 3-4 hours but with the shade fading constantly and semi-sheer finish I didn’t find it too appealing! And so I applied a lip balm on top of it to even out the color.
Overall, the other two shades mentioned above are my two favorite lipsticks but I will not recommend this particular shade to you because of the shade which might suit your complexion on some days while some days it may completely look out of place! I feel like I should have picked another one instead of this shade!
What I like about Maybelline Color Jolt Matte Intense Lip Paint Flaunting My Pink 08?
- Shade is pretty
- Lovely Pink-coral lipstick
- Perfect for summer wear
- Compliments fairer skin tones
- Cute Packaging
What I don’t like about Maybelline Color Jolt Matte Intense Lip Paint Flaunting My Pink 08?
- Might wash out most wheatish & olive skin tones
- The texture seems a little drying on lips
- Semi-sheer coverage
- When applied, lips look unevenly pigmented
- Doesn’t hide dark lips well!
Will I recommend?– I would suggest to try it on the counter once and then only buy it. Prefer to test it during the day! The shade is undoubtedly pretty but you need to see if it works for your complexion or not!
