10 Bridal Looks Of Indian Actresses
Hello my beauties,
When I was small, seeing our actresses getting married again and again onscreen made me so happy. I was eager to see what they wear on their next marriages and how they look in different attires with different grooms and in different sets. The curiosity deepened with years, and now I am more interested in what they wear, which designer they choose, how they do their makeup and how many millions worth of jewellery they flaunt on their ACTUAL wedding day.
Here is a list of 10 Bridal looks of Indian celebrities.
The gorgeous Shilpa Shetty got married to a high profile business tycoon Raj Kundra in a lavish ceremony. She dazzled her wedding day wearing a red saree with gold and silver work designed by Tarun Tahiliani. She teamed her heavily embroidered saree with heavy kundan jewellery and obviously the huge diamond engagement ring. She wore Punjabi traditional ‘chuda’ and ‘kalirey’ too. Her makeup was simple with soft neutral eyes and peachy brown lips.
She wore a beautiful pinky-beige sharara with blue-emerald green-golden border designed by the Ritu Kumar. The style dates back to the Mughal era. The outfit consists of a kurta, farshi pajama and dupatta. The heavy gold necklace, earrings and maang tikka with small emerald drops and minimal makeup to complete look. Who need makeup when you have such a pretty face and gorgeous smile?
She looked ethereal. The T.V actress wore stunning peach and red heavily worked Sabyasachi lehenga. Heavy gold-kundan jewelery, subtle kohl smudged eyes and bold red lips. She looked drop-dead gorgeous.
She ditched the traditional red color on her wedding day, and opted for a yellow silk saree with Swarovski crystals and gold threadwork designed by Neeta Lulla. She wore heavy gold, diamond and polka ethnic jewellery to match her look. Her makeup was simple and beautiful.
Including all the three looks she sported for her D-day. In the morning for the wedding registration, she went for a green suit with a contrasting red dupatta. In the evening, she wore her mother-in-law’s wedding gharara, which was restored by Ritu Kumar. For the reception, she opted for a burgundy lehenga with maroon dupatta designed by Manish Malhotra. Kareena wore heavy gold and kundan jewellery on both the occasions that took place in the evening.
Another actress who ditched the traditional red color and went for a perky bubblegum pink lehenga-choli with intricate silver and Swarovski work. The color looked stunning against her super fair skin. The intricately embroidered lehenga choli, matching jewellery, traditional chooda and kalire, she looked pretty.
Soha Ali Khan
On the wedding day, Soha looked elegant and utterly gorgeous in an orange and golden lehenga with traditional passa tikka. Soft kohl smudged eyes with hints of gold and red glossy lips. She looked so Royal.
Darling daughter of Dharmendra and Hema Malini slipped into a beautiful red and gold lehenga, designed by Neeta Lulla. I heard that her lehenga was made by combining three heavy Kanjeevaram sarees, which were specially ordered from South India, and the ensemble took months to take in shape. She complemented her dress with heavy traditional temple jewellery in gold and ruby.
The bubbly actress looked simple and beautiful in a Neeta Lulla red georgette saree with kundan works and borders. Traditional Maharashtrian gold jewellery completed her look. Makeup was fresh and simple.
She had a church marriage and wore a stunning Elie-Saab wedding gown. The diamond earrings added the right amount of oomph to her look. The only thing I disliked is her hairstyle. It was boring and not looking quite flattering on her. She could have sported loose curls, a messy bun or chignon. In makeup, loved the sun kissed look.
Who do you think looked the best on their D-day?
