Hey my lovely beauty geeks, festive season is in full swing here and all the streets are razzled and dazzled with colourful thingys to attract us. Well well our homes are not behind in the race of glitz and glam all the lighting shiting is finally on :D. But, what about your face? Is it fading the beams of those light bulbs? That is the main attraction beauties, let that shine out those diyas and crackers this Diwali.
Okay, all the commercial part is done :-P. On a serious note our skin usually look tired after all that cleaning and festive preparations and of course nobody has the time to reach out for facials and everything else to look good. That’s why here I am with easy simple tips that will help adding an instant glow to your skin.
The Goodness of Honey & Baking Soda
Mix a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil with half a teaspoon of honey and one teaspoon of baking soda. Mix all the ingredients together very well and apply a thick and even layer on your damp face avoiding the eye area. Massage it for 2 minutes and then leave it for the next 10 minutes, in the mean time you can relax and listen to your favourite music :-P.
After 10 minutes, wash your face with cold water and dab a toner gently. This will close your pores and will also take out all the extra oil. That’s it now you’re good to go. 🙂
Cucumber & Lime juice For Oily Skin
Though the weather tends to calm down during diwali so the oily skinned beauties can relax a bit and try out things that include a little amount of oil like the above mentioned mask. But if you have excessive oily skin then you may need to freshen it up for that subtle glow.
What you can do is:- Mix one tablespoon of cucumber juice, one teaspoon of lime juice and one teaspoon of turmeric.
Apply all over your face and neck. Allow the mask to sit for 15 minutes, before rinsing off with cold water.
Tomatoes For The Glow
Tomatoes are known for their effective tan removing ingredients. Any beauty recipe that has tomatoes in it is a certain hit. So for the instant glow take a medium sized tomato and take out the seedy and sticky part of the tomato in a bowl. Add some brown/white sugar crystals in it and mix it well. Massage the face like you do with your regular scrub for 5-10 minutes (*I know 10 minutes is a very long time*), rinse of the mask with cold water and viola you have a glowing skin now. 😉
P.S.- All of these are instant glow packs so I recommend using them Half an hour or may be 10 minutes before you start getting dolled up. And if you don’t have a single minute to do all this then mix 2 drops of Argan oil in your foundation 😉
Hope you enjoy this Diwali and spread love!! <3
