Hey all beauty geeks!!! Hope everyone is doing well. Winters have been really harsh this time all around the globe. In fact, it is still sub-zero temperature here. Cold and dry air saps the body of its moisture. And the worst hit are, always, my lips. This is why you will find lip balms everywhere in my house. I keep them stacked in kitchen, dining room, my bedside table and, of course, the washroom. You need to be ready for any lip emergency. 😉
Though I am not so brand loyal when it comes to lip balms, but there is something about EOS lip balms being around that makes me so happy. Look at them, don’t they look so glam and cute (at the same time). 🙂
About EOS – Evolution of Smooth – Lip balm:
EOS lip balm are famous for their odd egg-shape. The balm has a flat bottom and the outer packaging is a thick plastic. You need to unscrew the top to discover a dome-shaped lip balm. I have the balm in three awesome flavors –
- Pomegranate Raspberry,
- Honeysuckle Honeydew and
- Medicated Tangerine.
Just the names make me hungry 🙁
The website defines all the three different flavored balms as:
Pomegranate Raspberry: Smooth on an all-natural lip balm that delivers the perfect balance of flavor and moisture.
Honeysuckle Honeydew: Delight your lips with the irresistible flavor of fresh honeydew and with moisture that keeps your lips feeling soft and smooth all day long.
Medicated Tangerine: Keep your lips happy and healthy with this daily-use lip balm that soothes with medicated relief.
Price – $3.99 ( may be less or more depending on from where you buy)
Ingredients: This is the best part. It is made up of 95% organic and 100% natural ingredients. The balm contains Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Beeswax, Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter, Sunflower Seed Oil, and fruit extracts.
My take on EOS Lip Balms:
I always wanted to buy EOS lip balms. But was hesitant due their odd shapes. However, upon using them, I find they are easy to carry around in bags and also, do not roll over a desk like other lip balms do.
Texture: Smooth application and lasts for a long time. However, since I have really dry lips, I would love if they gave more hydration.
Packaging: Love the packaging. So unique and good to look.
Flavor: All the three lip balms do smell and taste their respective fruit flavors.
Tint: Absolutely no tint.
SPF: No SPF. They have SPF in only one lip balm – Lemon flavor.
What I like about EOS Lip Balms:
- 100% natural ingredients
- Petroleum and paraben free
- No testing done on animals
- Smooth application
- Attractive packaging
- More product compared to other lip balms
What I do not like about EOS Lip Balms:
- No SPF
- Not very moisturizing on my dry lips
- Little pricey
I do love owing these lip balms. They provide as much moisture to my lips as any other lip balm does. I would definitely repurchase them but, in other flavors.
