3 Must Make Body Masks At Home
Face masks are widely used but how many of you use body masks? Different body masks serve different purposes but one common result is smooth and radiant skin. I have used coffee body mask and loved the results. These body masks have some granular particles that slough off any rough and dead skin. Your skin will become really silky even after a single body mask session.
Though you can get body masks at spas, they are cheaper at home. Take a little time to whip up a body mask and pamper yourself in the shower. You will use them again and again as you will get addicted to new found smoothness of your skin. Try these recipes to make body masks at home-
Apple Body Mask
- 1 tbspÂ fresh apple puree
- 2 tbspÂ brown sugar
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
Take all the ingredients in a bowl and mix together. Apply the mask on whole body. Massage in gentle circular motions. Rinse yourself thoroughly. Apply a moisturising lotion afterwards.
Apples have malic acid which exfoliates skin and removes dead cells. This mask makes skin clean, fresh and soft. Scrubbing action of cinnamon and sugars removes dirt and grime to reveal radiance of skin.
Shea Butter Body Mask
- 1/2 cup Shea Butter
- 3 tbspÂ Olive Oil
- 3 tbsp Coconut Oil
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
Heat shea butter in a double boiler till it is soft but not melted. Beat it till the butter gets completely whipped.
Mix olive oil and coconut oil together and pour in the whipped shea butter while beating on high speed.
Beat for additional 2 minutes till you get a fluffy mixture.
Add in the brown sugar and mix.
Apply the mask/scrub all over your body and wait till it is dry.
Shower to remove the body mask. Your skin will turn super soft.
Shea butter is a very popular ingredient in body lotions and its presence in this body mask makes it highly hydrating. Olive oil and coconut oil will not let the moisture escape from skin. You will not need a body lotion after this body mask.
Coffee Body Mask
- 1 cup coffee grounds
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg powder
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Apply all over body and let the mixture dry for a few minutes. Take a shower to get super smooth skin.
This mask helps in fighting cellulite. Caffeine tightens skin and is a good antioxidant. Olive oil in this body mask makes skin softer. You can use this scrub daily.
