5 Basic DIY Recipes A Woman Needs To Use During Winters
The chilly season calls for some extra pampering of overall skin and hair and the whole body! Usually we tend to stock many bath and body products along with a range of both skin and hair care products which are certainly recommended to do but honestly speaking some of these products don’t actually benefit our skin to a great extent and we are always wondering about a quick and result effective way to ensure healthy and supple skin without spending a whole lot of fortune each month during the winter season!
I agree that DIY recipes are sometimes pain as you don;t feel the motivation to gather all the ingredients and find the cosmetic product more convenient! But the thing is I am not telling to ditch all your personal care products, it is just that make a habit of using some of these very effective DIY once a week or thrice a month and you will naturally observe how much difference it brings to the skin , body and hair in general!

Yogurt & Cinnamon Face Pack
- Greek / Fresh Yogurt
- 1tsp Cinnamon
Mix both ingredients and let the face pack stay on the skin for a good 15 minutes after which you can rinse it with lukewarm water and follow up with cold water!
The yummy Greek yogurt is great for skin as well. Greek Yogurt is a natural cleanser and scrub due to the lactic acid in it.It helps in reducing the darkening effects on the sun due to constant sun exposure!
Probiotics and calcium results in a soft glowing skin. The live bacteria help in reducing blemish marks. It tightens skin pores and is effective against acne too. It is a superb moisturizer and also has anti-ageing properties.
Exfoliating Rice Flour Scrub
- 1 tbsp Rice flour
- 1 tsp Honey
- 1-2 drops lemon
This gentle rice flour scrub is great to treat the sensitive facial skin without stripping the natural oil from the skin! The scrub doesn’t dry the skin and the honey and lemon both work in moisturizing and brightening the skin!
Brown Sugar Body Scrub
- 4-6 tbsp Brown Sugar (enough to be used on the body)
- 2tbsp gram flour
- Few Drops of Essential Oil (tea tree)
This one for the smoothest body when the body parts are mostly covered and they don’t get the exposure like that in summers! It scrubs off the dead layers of skin from the body and makes it smooth thus reducing the damaging effects of the dry winter season!
Olive Oil & Sugar Lip Scrub
- 2tsp Sugar (preferably the sugar sachets available in coffee shops). Yeah you can take them along! 🙂
- 1tsp Olive oil
Another main concern for most women in winters is to make their lips always soft and supple so that while wearing lipsticks their lips look smoother and give serious envy to onlookers! :-p
Deep Conditioning Curd Hair Pack
- 3-4 tbsp Fresh Curd
- 3tbsp Lemon juice
- 2-3 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil
This hair pack is certainly going to eliminate all your hair/ scalp concerns in one go, just make sure to follow it regularly twice a month all through the winter months! Lemon & tea tree are great for reducing dandruff issues from the scalp and also make sure that the scalp is free itchy and also rejuvenates the hair follicles which altogether give a great happy go healthy mane! 🙂
