How are you all doing? Must be busy shopping to welcome the spring, so am I 😉 Every store is now well stocked with the spring-summer collection. I am happy the season is finally changing but i loved winters more than anything, those layering of clothes, hot chocolates, wandering in the sun without any sweat, no more oily skin : the best part about winters ( especially for me 😛 ). Okay, enough of my sorrow sharing.
Today, I am coming up with a very interesting article on mutli-tasking capabilities of a lip balm, I bet this is going to be intriguing for you all 🙂 We all know, irrespective of the age, there is one staple product you will find in every girl’s vanity, either they have it or not, either they are a makeup freak or not, this particular product can never leave a girl’s kitty. Yes, you got it right- our most essential, loving lip balms (no glosses, lip colours-just our mundane lip balm). Do you know what your chapstick is capable of doing more than just a lip service? No? I told you 😛 Let me share with you “the secrets†😉
Keep your lip balms and chap sticks close by, even when the winter chill wanes. No, I am not asking you to hoard stacks and bundles of half-used lippies. These trusted, delicious and heavenly smelling balms can see you through your various beauty troubles. From using a chap stick to tame your frizzy flyway strands to soothing razor burns, a lip balm can do more than just moisturizing your lips. Though, it is advisable to stay away from chap sticks with camphor and menthol as they may dry your skin.
DO AWAY WITH DRYNESS
Apart from curing your chapped lips, lip balms are also great at moisturizing other dry parts of your body such as elbows, knees, hands, etc. So, when there is no body moisturizer in sight, just whip out your lip balm and apply on the dry spot. It can also double up as a cuticle softener. Go on, it is time to say goodbye to itchy, scaly skin 😀
GET THE ROSY CHEEKY GLOW
Ran out of your favorite blush right before you are heading out? Put your tinted lip gel to good use. Dab it on the apples of your cheeks and blend it in circular motions. Many of you must be aware of this trick and might consider using lipsticks to get that colour. But a tinted lip balm is better than using a lipstick as a substitute for your powdered blush as it gives a natural, dewy, rosy look to your cheeks. Go on, get cheeky! 😉
BAN THE HAIR COLOUR STAINS
Sick of scrubbing away hair colouring stains on your forehead days after having applied the colour, at home? Well, my mom finds it very irritating but now she and you too have the solution 🙂 Let the tiny chap stick come to your rescue. Next time, before colouring your hair, just apply it along your hairline, the tip of your ears and the nape of your neck. Now, go ahead and colour your locks without worrying about stains 😀
RUB AWAY RAZOR BURNS
Ouch! Had a close shave or nicked your leg in a hurry, while shearing off? Get relief from small cuts while shaving by just dabbing your lip balm on the wound to stop bleeding. This trick you can tell your guys too. 😛 This trick works well with small nicks, make sure you use an antiseptic and get proper medical care for serious injuries 🙂
FIGHT AWAY THE FRIZZ
Freshly washed hair feels great but the accompanying frizz and flyways mar the squeaky clean feeling. Now, you don’t need to shy away from trying your hand at the new hairdos even without sprays or gels. Just run your tube of lip balm through the flyway strands. Then, pat them down with your palm. Voila, say hello to a great hair day! 😀
I hope you liked the tricks and the tips that answers many beauty woes 🙂 Go ahead, make the most of your moisture tube and have a happy week ahead 😀
