5 Hair Growth Exercises
Regular exercising can really make your hair beautiful. Exercises that involve movement of shoulders work much better as this improves blood circulation in head. Exercising also speeds up metabolism which is good for hair. Exercising reduces stress and we know that stress is enemy of healthy hair. Sweating caused by exercising is really good for scalp. When sweat mixes with sebum on scalp, it balances pH which prevents bacteria and fungus from growing.
Here are some exercises that are meant especially for hair growth-
Stand straight and fold your hands. Interlink your fingers, turn your hands and point your palm outwards. Move yourÂ arms above head with fingers interlinked. Stretch your arms as much as you can and hold the pose for a count of 60 orÂ as long as you can. Your palms should be facing towards ceiling. After a while bend your arms towards back.
Stop if you feel any sort of discomfort and do not bend your arms backwards. Keep breathing while you do this exercise.
Stretch your arms out at 90 degree to the sides. Stand like this and it is good if you can bounce at the same time. Rotate your arms backward in small circles. Do as many rotations as you can. Ideally you should aim for 100 rotations which you will achieve with regular practice. Do this for a minute.
If you bounce simultaneously then it moves toxins out of body. It is great if you can take your arms a little further back so that your shoulder blades are stretched.
It is essential to drink lots of water if you are following these exercises.
Standing Forward Pose
It is also known as Uttanasana. Stand straight and then bend forward. Take your head as low as you can. Hold it for a few seconds and then stand straight.
This exercise makes head go below heart and this increases blood circulation in scalp. Proper blood circulation in scalp promotes hair growth. This pose also stimulates hair growth by reducing stress
This one is a well known exercise. It works on the principle of acupressure. Some acupressure points for hair growth are located under nails and these can be stimulated by rubbing nails together. Rub your fingernails with each other for 5 minutes. It will stimulate hair follicles and will lead to better hair growth. This exercise also stimulates hormones that promote growth of hair and darken the hair.
Diamond pose is also known as vajrasana. It is very easy to follow. Just sit with your knees folded under your body. Keep your back straight and keep your right palm on your right knee and left palm on left knee. Close your eyes, relax and breathe slowly. Hold this pose for a minimum of 5 minutes and then relax. This exercise helps in improving hair growth effectively as it promotes good metabolism.
