5 Hydrating Hair Masks
Roughness and dullness in hair is a strict no-no. None of us want our hair to look frizzy. Good moisturizing is always needed as roughness makes hair weak and brittle too. Trying out some DIY hair masks can help your dry hair a lot.
If you use hair masks regularly then your hair will become smooth and soft to touch. The longer you keep the masks on, the better your hair will be. These masks should be used at least once every month.
Avocado Hair Mask
Firstly mash the avocado. Then mix in olive oil and coconut milk. Microwave the mixture for 15-20 seconds so that it is softened. Apply it all over your hair and let it stay for 30 minutes. Then rinse well and shampoo.
Avocado is very hydrating and this mask will renovate your mane.
Egg Hair Mask
1 cup milk
Juice of half a lemon
2 tbsp. olive oil
As the mask is meant to hydrate so it is advisable to separate egg yolks from egg whites. Only egg whites are to be used for oily hair and whole egg content can be used for normal hair.
Beat the egg yolk and then add the rest of the ingredients. Apply this egg mask on your hair from root to ends. Massage well and leave the pack on for fifteen minutes. Then rinse thoroughly with water to remove all the traces of hair mask. Do not use hot water, use only cold or lukewarm water. Finally shampoo with your regular hair cleanser.
This mask is full of protein, calcium and vitamins.
Yogurt Hair Mask
1/2 cup yogurt
1 tbsp almond oil
1/2 cup honey
Mix all the ingredients well and slather on your scalp and hair. Leave the mask on hair for 20 minutes. Rinse and shampoo as usual.
Yogurt will nourish your hair while honey and almond oil will moisturize it.
Strawberry Hair Mask
5-6 ripe strawberries
1 tbsp. coconut oil
1 tbsp. honey
Take all the ingredients in a blender and blend well to make a smooth pack. Dampen your hair and apply the mask on scalp. Then rub it from roots to tips. Wash off after 15 minutes. Then shampoo as usual.
This pack is full of vitamin C that makes hair soft and glossy.
Mayonnaise Hair Mask
The easiest mask but a very effective one. Simply take mayonnaise according to the length of your hair and apply it on your hair covering scalp and each strand. You can add a few drops of your favourite essential oil to mayo so that your hair smell nice.
Wash off this pack after at least 15 minutes.
