We all hate getting tanned. If ignored for a long time, the pigmentation goes deeper into the skin and it becomes a lot more difficult to remove it.
But there are home remedies that can help in reducing even old sun tan. Remember that the tan is old so remedies will take more time in showing visible difference. Be patient and keep using regularly.
Yogurt for Old Tan
You can apply plain yogurt daily on your skin before bath. For a more effective remedy you will need one cup yogurt, juice of half a cucumber and juice of one tomato. Mix these together and add half a cup of gram flour (besan). Apply the mixture on tanned parts and leave for at least half an hour. Wash off with warm water as it will remove the yogurt effectively.
Yogurt reduces darkness and firms-up skin.
Gram Flour for Old Tan
Take required amount of gram flour and make a smooth paste with rose water. Slather it on the affected areas and leave for 20 minutes. Remove with scrubbing movements and wash with water. Â Use this pack two times a week.
Gram flour lightens tan and rejuvenates skin.
Almonds for Old Tan
Soak about 10 almonds overnight. Make a paste of almonds, the next day. Then add 5 drops of sandalwood oil, mix and apply on sun tanned parts. Leave the paste on for 15-20 minutes before washing off.
Almonds remove dead skin and lighten it too.
Oats for Old Tan
Take oatmeal in required quantity. Pour in some butter milk to make a paste. Rub this paste on the tanned parts. Rinse off when it dries.
Exfoliating action of oats makes skin clear and buttermilk soothes and lightens skin.
Milk Powder for Old Tan
Take milk powder, honey, lemon juice and almond oil in equal quantities. Mix these together and apply the cream on tanned skin. Let it stay for at least 20 minutes and then rub off before rinsing. This pack can be stored in refrigerator for a week.
All the ingredients of this pack are amazingly effective in reducing tan. Use this pack daily.
