5 Ways to Close Large Open Pores
Open pores have always be reason of worry for many. Open pores are enlarged pores and are usually associated with oily skins however it can happen to both oily as well as dry skins.Â Â Dry skin usually has closed and clogged pores that leads to various other skin problems.
Excess production of oil called Sebum on skin when combines with clogged pores, due to this skin looses it elasticity and smooth texture, which further results in enlarged open pores. Any form dirt and oil which gets collected around our face closes the pores and swell them, which we call as clogged pores. These clogged pores cause inflammation like acne, pimples, blackheads and whiteheads.
Enlarged open pores make the skin appear dull, unhealthy and poor. To keep skin healthier looking these open pores need to be looked after. A good skincare routine and extra pampering is all that your skin needs to be healthy and radiant.
Today I shall present few DIYs with few basic ingredients to treat these large open pores and get a healthier skin.
Fullerâ€™s earth, also known as multani mitti, is another very useful and an equally popular natural remedy for open pores. Fullerâ€™s earth absorbs excess oil from skin and exfoliates the skin. It also helps in reducing scars and blemishes.
To use Fullerâ€™s earth in order to make pores smaller, take two tablespoons of fullerâ€™s earth and mix adequate amount of rose water in order to make a paste. Apply this paste on face and leave it for 20 minutes on face or until dry. Now spray on some rose water to moisten the dried paste and scrub it off. Rinse with cool water. Use this mask twice a week regularly.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is great for skin and works as a natural astringent and skin toner. It tightens the skin, reduces large pores, and helps in restoring the skinâ€™s pH balance. Apple cider vinegar has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that are efficient in treating acnes too.
To make large open pore small, mix equal amounts of organic apple cider vinegar and water. Now soak a cotton ball in this solution and apply it on face. Use this solution every night after cleansing face and follow up with a light moisturizer. With regular usage results will show up within few weeks.
Exfoliating skin makes skin smooth and radiant. As sugar scrubs gently and effectively exfoliates skin which helps in reducing large pores and removes excess oils & impurities.
To make a sugar scrub mix together two tablespoons of sugar, one tablespoon of olive oil and a few drops of lemon juice. Now gently rub this scrub on your skin and then wash it off with cool water. Repeat this twice a week regularly for few weeks.
Alternatively you can put a little sugar on a lemon wedge and gently rub it all over your face. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Wash off face with cool water.
Egg whites are also very popular in skin and hair care. These are widely used to shrink enlarged pores due to its toning and skin tightening properties. Egg white masks are also effective in removing excess oils from skin.
Whisk an egg white and apply it evenly on face. Allow the egg white to sit on face until it is completely dry. Once it is dried, rinse it off. Do this twice a week on a regular basis to notice results. You can also add in juice of lemon to the egg whites if you are not allergic to lemons.
Baking sodaÂ works as a gentle exfoliating agent, removes excess oil and dirt from your skin. Making soda also helps in balancing the pH levels of the skin and reduces skin problems like acne and pimples due to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Mix two tablespoons each of baking soda and lukewarm water. Now apply this mixture on your skin and massage in gentle circular motion, just like how you exfoliate. Do this for few seconds and then rinse it off with cool water. Do this on an alternate day basis and then gradually reduce the frequency. Within a few weeks you will be amazed with the results.
