6 Best Homemade Body Polishes

 

Body polishes are meant to make skin soft and smooth. If you have ever got it done in a spa, you must be knowing the awesome feeling after it. Body polishing is basically a process of exfoliating and moisturizing the skin of the body. It gives soft and radiant skin.

But this pampering session will tear your pocket if you get it done in a good spa. This is where I come in with some simple and effective recipes for body polishing at home. You can read the whole process of body polishing at home here.

I’ve compiled some recipes of body polishes that you can try to get amazing skin.

Sugar and Orange Peel Body Polish

 

DIY brown sugar and honey scrub+moisturising scrub

This is simple. Take half a cup dried orange peel powder and 2/3 cup of brown sugar (brown sugar is better as it is not harsh. You can also take fine white sugar). Mix these together with half a cup of olive oil. Apply it on your body and scrub a little. Wash off with warm water.

Mixed Fruits Body Polish

Take any fruits of your choice like papaya, apple and banana etc. Take fruit pulp in required quantity and add in 1 tsp. oatmeal, 3 tsp. honey and some milk to adjust the consistency. Apply these on and rinse off after a massage.

Strawberry Body Polish

Take the pulp of 5 strawberries and add in half a cup sugar and some honey. This is an amazing body polish to keep skin youthful and glowing.

Sea Salt Body Polish

Take a cup of pure sea salt. Now add to it 1/2 cup honey, 2 tbsp. aloe vera gel and a few drops of tea tree oil. Slather the polish on your skin and leave for 10 minutes. Rinse off to get baby soft skin.

Salt and Sugar Body Polish

Take 1/2 cup brown sugar and same amount of salt. Mix these with 1/2 cup honey to make a granular paste. Apply it all over your body to discover soft and smooth skin after a rinse.

Lavender Body Polish

Mix 1 cup brown sugar with 1.5 tbsp. olive oil, 1 tbsp. honey and a few petals of rose and lavender flowers. Add in a few drops of lavender essential oil and mix well. Apply this on your skin and wash off after a few minutes. This polish will moisturise and exfoliate your skin. Also you will feel relaxed due to the presence of rose and lavender. This body polish works very well against signs of ageing.
