New launch by Colorbar, ahh! Excited? I am.. So before beginning this post, let’s dance. :rock-n-roll: Now let’s begin the exciting story. Colorbar is a brand that is always on fleek when it comes to manufacturing great yet affordable makeup products. Be it their primer, lipsticks or foundations – everything has their own set of loyal ladies. And when it comes to me, I am all game for their new launches. And so when recently, Colorbar launched their Amino Skin Radiant foundations, I had to get it. So I rushed to the store and got these shades for letting the world know what I feel about it. So let’s start 😀
What the company claims:
“This is a revolutionary, water resistant, high coverage creamy formula dedicated to all skin types. It is characterised by the presence of Lysine, an essential amino acid to maintaining the protein layer of the skin by improving hydration actively. It’s also enriched with sophisticated treated Japanese pigments which ensure a colour fidelity and uniformity in application. This perfect second skin foundation acts as “filler†to provide the face with a smooth and satin finish with the presence of Silicon Elastomers.”
How to apply this foundation:
This foundation is very deep and high-coverage and so a little goes a long way. One pump should be more than enough for your face. Try it with the colorbar primer for the best staying power and apply with their brush. Start from the centre of your face and go outwards.
These Amino skin foundations are available in 8 shades which are for all skin types. These are available in various shades which will definitely suit any sort of undertones.
Very creamy and smooth. Glides on really well.
High coverage foundation but it doesn’t look cakey to me at all.
Here there are 4 shades:
(From left to right)
- Peal medium: This is for fair skin types with a very pinkish undertone.
- Lotus deep: This is for very fair skin types with pink undertones.
- Golden deep: This is for medium to deeper skin tones with very warm undertones. Dusky skin tones can try out this colour too.
- Sand medium: This is for fair to medium skin tones with warm undertones.
(From left to right)
Petal fair: This is the least suitable shade for Indian skin tones as this will suit only those skin tones that have a very pink undertone to it.
Rose Mild: This colour is again with visible pink undertones which will suit very fair skin tones.
The Colorbar Amino Skin Radiant foundation comes in a very cute looking packaging that looks quite luxurious too. The cap is made of steel and the bottle is a glass bottle. We can see the foundation colour from outside which is a good thing. All the necessary information is mentioned at the back of the bottle. Overall, I really like this foundation packaging.
What I feel about this foundation:
The Colorbar Amino Radiance foundation is a newly launched product in the Indian market. This product is a high coverage product that also gives radiance due to its dewy finish. Indian market is full of foundations but most of it are of sheer-medium coverage and a high coverage foundation is pretty rare. Though the price is on the higher side, this product is a much-needed one.
But to be very frank, I really have a doubt at the choice of shades. Firstly, there are mostly pink or cool undertone shades which won’t suit most Indian skin tones. Secondly, there is no shade for very deep skin tones. Golden deep is the darkest shade of the range but this is quite lighter than deeper Indian skin tones.
The shades mostly cover fair to medium skin tones and definitely not all skin tones because of which many people won’t find their perfect match. So for me, this foundation is a good one though it won’t be appealing to everyone reading now!
