Neem also known as Azadirachta indica or Indian Lilac, is used for many medicinal purposes including dental diseases, skin diseases, fevers, cough, vomiting, nausea, thirst, diabetes, tumors, jaundice, rheumatism, arthritis, obesity etc.
According to Ayurveda, it is believed that Neem is a complete pharmacy which can cure many diseases. The parts of the tree that are used include leaves, flowers, fruit, twigs, bark and roots. Apart from its medicinal properties we can use neem for skin care too and is considered as a boon for oily skins.

Take twenty leaves of neem and boil it in half a liter of water until the leaves are tender and colorless. The water will turn green then. Strain the water and store it in a bottle. Refrigerate it to ensure the goodness of the liquid is maintained. Use this stored water as a toner every night. Regular usage will give additional benefits of clearer skin, even toning and getting rid of blackheads. In case of dandruff and excessive hair fall you can also use this potion as a hair rinse and see the magic working.
Prevents Recurrence of Blackheads and Whiteheads:
Blackheads are your trouble??? Worry not; we have a solution for this too. Dilute neem oil (make sure not to take more than three drops of neem oil, very sensitive skin please use only 1-2 drops) with a little water and apply it over blackheads. Applying this regularly will help you get rid of blackheads and also keep them at bay.
For treating Whiteheads, prepare a face pack of neem leaves. Boil some 10-15 neem leaves with some small pieces of orange peel in a little amount of water. Donâ€™t over boil it, as soon as the orange peel and neem leaves become soft strain the water. Grind the boiled stuff and to it add little yoghurt, honey and milk to form a smooth paste. Apply this to your face and wash of when it dries. This will also aid in clear acne and break outs while removing white heads and even reduce the appearance of pores.
Treats Skin Infection:
To cure any kind of skin infection, mix turmeric with neem paste and apply it on your body. Do this regularly for 3 month to ensure that the infection is entirely cured.
Tulsi, we all know about it, right ??? Tulsi is also known as Basil. Similar to Neem, Tulsi too is very beneficial for our skin. Dry some handful of neem leaves and tulsi leaves, make sure you dry them under shade not under direct sunlight. After they are dried, grind them together to a fine powder form. You can use this powder as a face pack by mixing it with rose water and see how well your pimples are treated and they donâ€™t leave a scar behind. Alternatively you can also grind them without drying in their fresh form and you can immediately as a spot treatment or as a face pack.
Controls Excess Oils:
Mix neem powder with some freshly squeezed lemon juice and some yogurt. Use this pack as twice a week regime and you will notice that your Sebum is under control. Oily skin beauties make sure you give it a try before you feel helpless and leave all hope to control sebum.

Prepare a face pack of neem leave s powder and rose petal powder and make a paste of it with milk, yogurt or rosewater. Apply on face and let it dry completely before washing off.
