Ananda Spa Light Moisturizer For Oily Skin
Today I am back with a review on another moisturizer. It is Ananda Spa Light Moisturizer for Oily Skin. Well I got this in my Fab bag last year, but misplaced it in the process of shifting home and found it just a few weeks back.
Hence the delay…
So lets go through a quick review…
About Ananda Spa Light Moisturizer For Oily Skin
Nourishing, cooling and antiseptic in nature. Enlivens, invigorates and brings a glow to dull and stressed skin.
Located in the tranquil Himalayan foothills, close to the mythological cities of Haridwar and Rishikesh, surrounded by graceful Sal forests, overlooking the peaceful Ganga as it meanders into the distance. Ananda is the spiritual pathway to the ultimate, discovered through the union of body, mind and soul.
Price:Â 1350 INR for 50 gm
How do you use it?
Apply to cleansed skin to reveal a soft healthy glow.
Pure essential oils of Juniper and Holy Indian Basil.
Packaging:Â The Ananda Spa Light Moisturiser comes in a white round tub with a screw cap. The spill proof lid in between ensures that there is no seepage.
Texture: Coming to the texture, it is a light, non greasy cream which doesn’t sit on top of the skin and sinks into your skin in a wink.
Fragrance:Â Awful. The smell is too strong to handle.
My Experience with Ananda Spa Light Moisturizer For Oily Skin
First I would like to mention that this moisturiser is meant for oily skin. I have normal skin which becomes drier in winter, so naturally, this product isn’t for me.
Well, as I have mentioned before. It is not something up my street, I have used it twice and naturally my skin wasn’t truly satisfied with the moisturisation it provided. So I gave this product to my sister in law who has oily, terribly acne prone skin. She gets scared with the thought of using cream on her face and it took me sometime to convince her. She has been using it for more than a week now.
And I must say it is a good moisturizer for oily skin, doesn’t make her skin oily and provides a very fresh and refreshing feel to skin. She takes less than a pea sized amount and that’s enough for her face. It didn’t break her out and also didn’t cure her existing acnes.
Summing up the prods and cons
What I like about Ananda Spa Light Moisturizer For Oily Skin?
- Light, non greasy cream, perfect for oily skin.
- Doesn’t sit on top of the skin and sinks into your skin in a wink.
- Doesn’t break out.
- Skin feels smooth and soft.
- Paraben free.
What I don’t like about Ananda Spa Light Moisturizer For Oily Skin?
- Pricey as per quantity and quality provided.
- Disturbing fragrance.
Would I repurchase or recommend?: When I asked her would she purchase this again, her answer was no. She said this is just a decent product and she wouldn’t shell out 1350 rupees on something which isn’t something extraordinary. Moreover it is 1350 for just 50 gm of product. Way to costly. The fragrance is also too strong for us. It gives me headache.
