Aura Vedic Ritual Skin Lightening Mask Review

Yes, fine, so again I am back with a brand new product, and no, I am not tired of them yet, so bear with me here. Aura Vedic Ritual Skin Lightening Mask is one of the products which I am currently using from the large number of different skincare products I got recently, and there are several reasons why I like this quite a bit. My skin is sensitive, hence I have always been wary of using items that contains high dosage of chemicals in it, and one of the reasons why I love Aura Vedic is possibly because of its paraben and SLS-free formula, which is devoid of preservatives. The skin lightening mask was possibly in my kitty because I read SANDALWOOD in the list of ingredients and bought it. Sandalwood is one item which suits my skin to a tee and I thought… oh well, why not?

My Take on Aura Vedic Ritual Skin Lightening Mask :-

The product comes in a tub, with an inner separator making sure that the product does not stick to the lid. Once opened, it pleasantly smells of sandalwood and lightly of turmeric, a smell I have come to like. It is ochre yellow in color and easy to use. Although I do not like dipping into the tub with my fingers every time I take some of the product out, I can clearly see the oil separate from the sandalwood paste after leaving it for a couple of days, untouched, so I REALLY need a spatula to mix everything together before application. That means, more work for me. However, I know at least this is natural.

I generally apply it on my face, and then go take a shower after its dry (about 15-20 minutes). After application, my skin tingle a bit, but not significantly so.

I have realized that my skin looks glowing and very healthy after I use this. So, I sometimes use this for date nights. In the weeks I have been using this, along with the ritual scrub, I have realized that my skin condition looks very healthy. Even my overcritical mother talked about it. And, just before that time of the month, I break out massively and the resultant pimples need at least 10 days to heal. This time, I not only noted a lot less outbreak but also a decided improvement on my pores and blemishes, which were quite reduced after the fourth or fifth application. This whole skin lightening effect is perhaps not the most accurate thing with this product, but this mask is definitely a glow booster for me. However, this thing is not travel-friendly (as the oil leaks) so girls who travel will not be pleased with it.

  1. Sounds good! I have seen so many Aura Vedic products online, never tried them. I really wanna check this out, but I have to wait until my other face packs finish! I have like a million of them already! 🙂

      • I have dry skin, with some acne blemishes and a few dark spots. For that I use Biotique myristica which is working pretty well. I also use Aromamagic glossy pack for that much needed glow (I get tanned a lot!). Plus there are many others that are lying forgotten in my cupboard like Lacto-Tan mask, the lotus white glow mask and a few other masks! Man I am such a hoarder! :O

  2. This sounds good Chandini  Sandalwood packs work well for me too although they’re quite messy to remove. Am worried bout the oil in this though :-/
