I’ve always loved clear mascara right from when I was a teenager. If I remember correctly, my first clear mascara was from a brand called Red Earth and I was smitten! After that, I hunted desperately for a replacement and realized that very few brands have clear mascara  Anyways, the great thing about using clear mascara is that it looks completely natural and you can never go wrong with the application. It’s a great product for those who are just taking baby steps into the world of make-up, for teens who are afraid of wearing obvious make-up, as a conditioning base before applying colored mascara and to tame and set eyebrows.

My Experience with Avon Simply Pretty Clear Mascara:-
It comes in a clear, plastic tube with a pink and purple lid. Packaging looks true to its name…simply pretty. What I like is that it comes completely sealed with the complete list of ingredients and product details printed on it. Also, the mfg date and exp date are both embossed on the lid of the mascara so you are not left guessing whether your product is fresh or not once you’ve thrown away the outer cover  . The only thing I’m not too happy with is the wand. It has thick bristles that remind me of bottle-cleaning brushes. I found it pretty harsh initially but later learnt to deal with it. As claimed, it is fragrance-free. It is also mentioned that it can be easily removed with soap and water, but I never bother to remove it since it’s so lightweight that I don’t feel like I have anything on. My eyes are moderately sensitive and this product never caused any irritation. One point to take note is that since it is transparent, the gel gets foggy after a couple of uses. So try to avoid using this over black mascara since you run the risk of messing the wand, and in turn, messing the product inside the tube. Once applied, it does take more than a minute to dry especially when used on the brows. Once dry, lashes still feel flexible and not stiff. Don’t expect any major curling or lengthening of lashes; this only mildly defines them. It is best to curl your lashes either with an eyelash curler, or if you don’t have one, all you need to do is gently bend your lashes using your forefinger and hold them in place for a few seconds. Release and immediately apply mascara. You’ll end up with natural-looking, curved lashes :lashes:

Will I repurchase Avon Simply Pretty Clear Mascara ?
Hmm… It’s a fairly nice product but I was using Diana Of London Aqua Lift Gel Mascara before this and I found the brush and product quality better than this. But yeah DOL mascara costs around 425 so this is good for the price you pay.
- Price Vs quality: 4/5

- Performance: 3.8/5
