Here goes the recipe
Serves -3-4 adults
3 cup of millet(Bajra)
1/2 cup moong chilka dall(green gram lentil)
Around 1 and 1/2 tsp. of salt
Ghee (dependingÂ upon your mood but a must )
Â Method and Preparation:-
1.Soak Bajra in 1/2 cup of water for an hour or so and then crush it so that it outer layer can be removed.
2.Let it dry for some time and grind it like your usual daliya.
3.Take a pressure cooker or any deep bottomed container and boil 10 cups of water in it.
4.Put dailya , salt and the dal in it and skeep stirring it.
5.Now cook it on the slow flame without closing the lid.
6.Cook the kichdi for 2 hours and keep stirring it continiously.
7.In the end add 2tbsp. of clarified butter.
Close the flame and serve it hot.I like it eating with kadhi.This is a strange combination of Rajasthan but I loved it.This Kichdi is maid with patience if you try to make it quick then the taste won’t be that good.
