BECCA Line + Illuminate eye pencil Madagascar Review & Swatches

BECCA Line + Illuminate eye pencil Madagascar

After BITE BEAUTY the other brand which ruled my vanity completely this year and 2014 is BECCA, where their shimmering skin perfector are the best offering along with Beach Tint shimmer souffle I happen to pick some eye products too and one of them is MADAGASCAR.

Size: 3.9 gm , Price: 1450/- INR but I paid some 800/- for this, Available at

Shade: MADAGASCAR on side is warm toned reddish brown shade with mild shimmer in it and on the other side it is yellow based warm toned golden shade with shimmer overload .I personally picked warm toned pencil thinking it would go really well on my complexion and it was true also but the formula didn’t worked for me at all .

Texture and Staying power: The texture is very creamy and that tends to dispense a lot of product in single swipe. The dark brown side as you can see in swatch is extremely creamy and gives no control over my hand and I just mess up the line and the golden side is good enough to work but doesn’t give much colour on my NC 40 skin tone . What do I say about staying power? When I first tried the golden shade vanished quite quickly and the brown one in 2-3 hrs started fading.

Pigmentation: The swatch you see is single swipe and just look at it, isn’t it so gorgeously pigmented !

What I like about BECCA Line + Illuminate Eye Pencil Madagascar:

  • The pigmentation is awesome.
  • The dual sided pencil is great concept.

What I don’t like about BECCA Line + Illuminate Eye Pencil Madagascar:

  • I really wish it is easy to use product but trust me it takes a lot of efforts.
  • The pencil being so creamy is hard to use.
  • The staying power could have been better.
  • The pencil needs to be sharpened and that is a lot of wastage.

Ratings: 2/5

Recommendations: Trust me even in the middle of the review I tried using this just to show you how it looks on my eyes but all efforts waste. I don’t say that I’m a pro but certainly for eye products I can say that I make things work out in my favour but this is such a disastrous product to use.
