Best DIY Hair Conditioning Packs For Winter
With winters approaching, I have already started looking for hair masks and hair conditioning packs since it specifically gets difficult for me to maintain my hair during winters. I also get dandruff in my hair which is just during this season and thus hair become all dry and patchy. I want my hair to be soft and normal this year around so
I have researched and found some packs which work wonders. None of these packs have henna involved since I know it is not advisable to use during winters due to its cooling nature.
Mayonnaise and Avocado Mask
For this pack, you need 4 tablespoon of mayonnaise, 2 eggs and half avocado. Mix all of these together and frisk until the mixture becomes smooth. Now apply this from the roots of your hair to the tips and leave it on for 25 minutes. In the meanwhile, cover your hair with a shower cap and give yourself a hot towel twice or thrice. This would enhance hair growth and provide some extra shine. Now wash it off
Olive oil Mask
Heat the oil for 2 minutes and apply on your hair. The oil itself is so rich in Vitamin E that it nourishes your hair alone. You may however mix it with lavender oil for better results. Keeping it overnight and washing in the morning next day is generally advised.
Honey and Egg Mask
Honey helps unlock the hair moisture and egg keeps it healthy and shiny. Mix one cup of honey with one egg yolk (egg yellow) and apply on your hair. Keep it for 30 minutes and then wash away with lukewarm water and your regular shampoo. Your hair will be shinier and bouncier.
Ginger and Lemon Juice
Okay girls! This one is what I was looking for specifically for the dandruff menace I have every winter season. Mixing one part of ginger juice with lemon juice and a bit of olive oil helps eradicate dandruff naturally without any bit of chemicals involved. Keep it on your scalp for about 45 minutes before washing it off with warm water.
Another historical hair pack being used for ages, as multani mitti is good for both hair and skin. My grandmother still uses it but since it is cold, some people avoid it during winters. I, however use it in winters as well since, in day time when the sun is shining bright, one may use it without any fear of catching cold. Just add one spoon of multani mitti to ½ cup vinegar and 2 tablespoon gram flour (besan). Apply this mixture on your head until it dries and then wash it off with warm water.
Milk and honey

This is another simple DIY pack which can help you retain hair volume and shine during winters. Simply use a requisite amount of milk depending on your hair length and add honey to it (usually two spoons is enough). Apply this mask and cover your hair with a shower cap. Wash it off after half an hour with lukewarm water.
Try all of these or a few of these packs as they suit you this winter. The packs are all easy to use and apply. Hope these packs help you attain beautiful hair this season.
Happy Winters everyone!
