  1. Some good brands are Revlon, Cover Girl, Estee Lauder, Lancome, MAC

For the shade you will have to go the cosmetics counter and ask the beautician to match a shade to your skin tone.

  2. There are a couple of approaches. First decide your price point. How much are you willing to spend on a foundation?

The problem with buying a foundation or any makeup product out there is the choices, there are SO many brands and choices that it can really make your mind spin.

The issue with going to a Nordstroms or other store like it is that the MUA represent particular brands and they will sell you their brand alone. A better option is to go to an ULTA or a Sephora and speak to someone who can help you out with a foundation. The MUA there will know about all the brands and can suggest a foundation according to your needs.

Lastly, read up on foundations online and pick up a few at your local target/walgreens/CVS. They have plenty of sales and you can get good deals. This way you don’t spend too much money and can experiment with diff types.

    Hope this helps!

  3. I have found MAC to be the best when it comes to Indian skin, it’s also quite affordable…i have been using MAC’s Studio Tech foundation for a while now, but i also use Everyday Minerals and Alima mineral foundations as well….Aveda’s dual mineral foundation is also pretty good…i have two shades in a little Aveda compact so i can customize the shade to my skin when it gets lighter in the winter and darker in hte summer. I’m going to try Maybelline’s Fit Me soon, i haven’t tried drugstore brands but i’m interested to see how Fit Me works.
