BH Cosmetics is a US based firm that make some of the very high quality makeup palettes that are not only multi functional but also make wonderful gifts. Today I am reviewing the 28 Neutral eyeshadow palette. We always are on a hunt for neutral colors that are very good for office wear and look as if there’s no makeup on. Wouldnt it be great if we had all these colors in one palette that is handy enough to carry anywhere and also have colors that could work as blushes in the same eyeshadow palette.
It comes a black matte box with logo and description written on it. Behind the box is list of ingredients and  all other palettes that BH cosmetics make. I wont tell the exact price as they are always in discount for some or other reason. The best part is that they include an expiry date behind the box which is a bit unusual for major American brands who do not write the date of manufacturing and expiry.
The plastic case is also a matte case that does not get finger prints that easily and looks quite sophisticated. On opening, Â each pan consists of 1.2 gm approx eyeshadow yet they are flatter and bit bigger in diameter compared to their MAC versions.Â
FORMULA OF BH COSMETIC PALETTE
28 neutral palette has all colors that are good enough to create a perfect office wear or day wear makeup that looks natural and sophisticated. It consists of shimmers, mattes and satin colors that range from cool tones to warm tones. There are three divisions from highlighters to midtone shades (on the lid) to contouring and shading colors.
The eyeshadows are moderately pigmented and certain colors have soft pearlised pigments in them.
In this palette I could find dupes to MAC eyeshadows in like Beauty Marked, Wedge, Cork, Smut, Ricepaper, Embark, Brule, Nylon, Folie, Browndown etc. not exactly but closer versions. The eyeshadows range from matte and shimmer tones in neutral color families like rose, mauve, red browns, cool browns, taupes, deeper plums, coppery tones etc. while they have also included a matte deep grey with a hint of golden sparkle. They have also included a soft baby pink with a subtle shimmery finish that also works as a wonderful blush. Some of the colors in the palette could be comparable to blushes like MAC Sunbasque or NARS Lovejoy.
The colors can be a bit powdery at times and chalky on feeling with fingers. Yet on applying over primer they go butter smooth and look quite flattering.
Swatches Of BH Cosmetics 28 Neutral Palette
I strongly suggest using an eyeshadow primer as they colors can look very chalky or powdery if there is nothing under it. Using a concealer to neutralize the lid color is important as these colors are flesh tones. Undereye concealing is also advisable as these colors could accentuate the under eye circles.
I prefer using flat brushes for packing colors and then just blending the sides to soften up edges as this makes the eyeshadows stay put.
PROS :BH Cosmetics 28 Neutral Palette Review, Swatches & EOTD
+Extremely wearable colors
+Good quality finish for a palette like this.
+Some colors could be worn as blushes and highlighters for cheeks.
+Perfect day wear or office wear palette with colors that do not cause a dent on the pocket
+Great palette for makeup professionals as it helps packing get a bit easier
+Wonderful as a gift and is always on some or other offers
CONS:BH Cosmetics 28 Neutral Palette Review, Swatches & EOTD
+May go powdery at times.
+Need to layer to get desired result
+Contain Parabens, Talc and Mineral oil. This should not affect the quality of the brand as these products suit sensitive eyes very well too. I feel mineral oil is the best for the products to glide better like butter.

Would I recommend this? –Yes, of course. But I would advice this palette for makeup starters who dont have an extensive range of eyeshadows. Makes a perfect bridal makeup palette.
PS -Â I did 2 looks with these, one for a romantic dinner and one which is a party smokey eye.
In the romantic dinner look other products I used were Bourjois 16hr liner in Brun Design and Bourjois volume Glamour ultra black mascara.
In the party smokey eye, I used Loreal Khol in Black and Bourjois Volume Glamour Max mascara.
