About Bobbi Brown Pastel Shadow:

What is it: A palette filled with pretty pinks and grays for eyes.

Who is it for: Anyone who wants subtle polish for day and bit of drama for night.

Why is it different: The top row is filled with four beautifully wearable pale pinks and grays for a shimmering daytime look. The bottom row has an allover shade, two wearable neutrals, and a liner color that can be layered on top for a smoky look.

How do I use it: Sweep a neutral base eyeshade from the lash line to the brow bone. Apply a medium shade from the lash line to the crease. Finish with a dark liner shade applied as close to the lash line as possible. At night, layer on a deep gray for a smoky effect

My take on Bobbi Brown Pastel Shadow Options Palette:

This palette comes in a black rectangular box with two parts in it. The top part consists of four shimmery colors and the bottom part which slides open consist of four matte shades. The box has a flip top with a mirror and an applicator brush included. A very summery/spring palette is what I would call it. It can be used to create soft day looks with the pastel shades and a few evening smoky looks as well. The color payoff depends on each shade as some of them are really good but some are chalky and sheer. It may differ on different skin tones but overall, it’s a nice palette and the shades blend nicely. They glide on well but the texture varies on each of the shades. Read on to know more.

There are eight beautiful color options on this palette ranging from shimmers to matte shadows.

The colors:

  • Star: Star is a sparkly white shade with tons and tons of glitters. Love the color payoff but hate the fallouts.
  • Iced Blue: It has a similar finish like Star but it has an icy blue shade to it. It is not very pigmented. You can see the color on the hand swatch and eye swatch below.
  • Orchid: Orchid is yet another shimmery textured lilac shadow. The color pigmentation is not rich but the shimmers are. Bad fallouts on this one as well.
  • Petal: Petal is a shimmer wash finish pastel pink shadow. The texture is very silky and glides on smoothly. It has very good pigmentation.

  • Ivory: A matte finish with an ivory/shell color. The color payoff is not good on this one. It feels a little chalky and takes a couple to swipes for an opaque coverage.
  • Cement: Cement is a light greyish taupe color, which doesn’t show on my skin tone at all. It is a matte finish and glides well but the sheer pigmentation doesn’t work for me.
  • Baby Pink: True to its name, this shade is a pretty baby pink shade in a matte finish. The color payoff is good and it glides on very well.
  • Espresso: This is the darkest and the most pigmented out of all these shades. It is a deep grey shade in a matte finish and is great for creating a smoky look like I have done on the eye swatch below.

Staying power: The shimmery ones tend to last longer than the matte ones. Overall, It last for 6 to 7 hours.
