Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream Review

Post by Priti,

Here comes one more product from Body Shop Vitamin E range and this is the 1st Vitamin E product which I like.  This is surely one of their famous products as I have seen the same with my friends and sister.  If you have dry or normal skin I guess you’ll like this.

Bodyshop Vitamin E Moisture Cream Review
Product: Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream

For Skin Types: All

Price: SGD 27.90 and INR 695 for 50ml

Product Claims: Everybody’s favourite and our bestseller. An easily absorbed daily moisturising cream that has the lightness of a lotion with the moisturising benefits of a cream. It helps protect the skin, leaving it feeling soft, smooth and healthy-looking.

How to use: Apply on the face and neck after cleansing and toning, using your fingertips.

My Experience:

Main ingredients:

Vitamin E – Is a naturally powerful and one of the best antioxidants that helps protect the skin against damaging environmental elements, such as the sun, pollution and cigarette smoke. Helps neutralise free radicals, which are destructive molecules that attack cells.
Sorbitol – Helps the skin to retain moisture.
Lanolin – Is one of nature’s richest moisturisers. Is readily absorbed and so provides good protection for the skin.
Other Ingredients (taken from packaging):
Water, Isopropyl palmitate, Sorbitol, Lanolin, Glyceryl stearate, cetyl esters, steareth-2, PEG-100 stearate, ceresin, triethanolamine, steareth-20, tocopheryl acetate, carbomer, parfum, methylparaben, butylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben, CI 14700.

Bodyshop Vitamin E Moisture Cream

The jar comes in plastic light pink colour with black screw-on lid with product details, it also has one extra plastic lid to avoid the cream from leaking.  The cream itself is of very soft pink colour and runny ( or may be it’s coz of the humidity in Singapore).  The cream texture isn’t heavy like some face creams and has a light scent which is pleasant and floral. Scoop up a small amount of cream from the tube [of course it’s not very hygienic] and apply over face and neck. It absorbs quickly, which I really like and it makes my face feel soft and smooth. My skin feels great not dry or tight.  Since there is no SPF I guess it’s better to use as a night cream and specially for me I prefer to use in night not to feel greasy.

The product does not makes the skin feel greasy but I personally have this feeling towards most of the products.  The cream scent does stay for a while and feels so good.  It also works beautifully under makeup, I usually apply a concealer for the dark circles and/or foundation, since only a tiny amount is required the product comes a long way.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream is a gentle & effective moisturizer for the delicate skin around the eye area, though it doesn’t help on dark circles, its hydrating properties have reduced the appearance of fine lines. I love its silky smooth texture as it goes on. It performs wonderfully underneath concealer, foundation, and eye makeup.

For normal and dry skin you can surely try this, but I won’t say same for oily skin(though the product claims to be suitable for all skin types). Will I buy it again? Umm no as mine is oily skin.

  • Very hydrating without being greasy.
  • Can reduce fine lines
  • Gentle, effective moisturizer. Works well under makeup
  • Scent is mild and pleasant

  • No SPF
  • I personally felt not very good for oily skin.
  • Expensive in SGD

  2. Thanks for the review Prithi, this is definitely a nice product for dry skin, although its non greasy and very light(seeps into the skin quickly) it does break me out, oh i have crazy combo skin by the way. It certainly has heavenly aroma to it, you don’t have to apply a lot,a little goes a long way.
