Hey all beauty geeks!!! Hope everyone is doing fine. I have taken my own sweet time to settle my house and though some work is still pending, I am back on Wiseshe with the intention of being regular again. 😉 I have always loved and prefer the smoky effect on the lower lash line. In fact, the easiest way to spice up any eye look is to smoke out the lower lash line, instead of just applying an eye liner. I always keep an eye liner that is easily smudged for this purpose. Bourjois Effet Smoky Pencil in Sparkling Mocha is one such eyeliner. Let us know more this sparkling product. 🙂

My take on Bourjois Effet Smoky Pencil in Sparkling Mocha:
Bourjois Effet Smoky Pencil comes in five matte shades and three shimmery colors. Bourjois Effet Smoky Pencil in Sparkling Mocha is a shimmery chocolate brown color. Though the shimmers are visible, you really don’t feel the glitter. Moreover, the shimmers are well mixed with the creamy liner as they don’t stray away at all. This eye liner is my first choice for a sultry brown color on the lower lash line. The eye liner smudges so easily and the brush at the other end is also helpful. Though the bristles are soft, I would have preferred more stiffness to the brush to help the liner smudge properly. The shimmer present in the liner adds more depth to the look.
Texture: The eye pencil has a very creamy and soft texture. Even though it has shimmers, it is not at all dry or gritty on the eyes. Goes on super smooth and blends easily as well. But the liner does not set for long. As it is easily smudged, it does not set properly.
Pigmentation: Crazy pigmentation. One swipe is enough for the rich color to show.
Staying Power: This is where it does not come up to the expectations. Without primer, it does not last on my oily lids or the waterline. You also need to set with an eyeshadow.
Packaging: The outer body of the pencil is shimmery brown in color. It also has a blending brush attached to the other end.
What I love about Bourjois Effet Smoky Pencil in Sparkling Mocha:
- Very beautiful rich chocolate color with shimmers.
- Amazing pigmentation.
- Blends easily.
- Creamy texture.
- Shimmers are not at all chunky.
- Does not irritate eyes.
- Easy to use.
- Glides smoothly.
What I do not love about Bourjois Effet Smoky Pencil in Sparkling Mocha:
- Sharpening leads to wastage.
- Poor staying power.
- Brush needs to be more stiff.
- Does not set completely.
Final Impression: Bourjois Effet Smoky Pencil in Sparkling Mocha is my pick for sultry brown eyes. Though you need a primer and also an eye shadow to set it, I just love the effect this beautiful color has on my eyes. The shimmers add a nice effect to the eyes, without irritating them. You can wear it daily or on special occasions. If you can work a bit to make it set, I think this is a must buy for a brown liner fan. Definitely Recommended!!!
