Bourjois Ombre a paupieres in Bleu Magnetique 12 Review, Swatches & FOTD

Bourjois Ombre a paupieres in Bleu Magnetique 12 Review, Swatches & FOTD – Gone are the days when I would melt my crayons and try to put them on my lips, and use water color for eye shadows. But not much to miss, what if I can no longer apply water color as eye shadows, now I can see numbers of them in the makeup world to choose from.

Today’s review is on one of my watercolor ooppss eye shadows, Bourjois Ombre a paupieres in Bleu Magnetique (12). I wanted to try at least one of these after going through Anamika’s review on the Teal Blue one and the collective post of other 6 Ombre a paupieres eyeshadows.

Bourjois Eyeshadow Bleu Magnetique

About Bourjois Ombre a Paupieres Eyeshadow:

New silkier formula, new hot shades!Bourjois has used the revolutionary “baked technology” since 1863 to give its eye shadows an ultra soft, light and easy-to-blend formula. Don’t be shy; apply as much color as you want for a luminous result.

Price: 450INR for 1.5gmsYou can buy Bourjois product from Nykaa.

Packaging: They come in round, colorful (same as the color of the shadow), attractively neat and stylish, compact cases.  It has a mirror inside and sponge applicator for an easy application anytime, anywhere.

Shade: I love blues on my eyes. It is an intense jewel blue in the pan, but on lid it’s a beautiful purplish blue. It has fine silver shimmers which enhance the shade without making it look odd or tacky. It is a gorgeous shade which can be worn alone or can even be complimented with different colors. It rocks in any case.

Texture: It has a smooth and silky texture which gives luxurious finish. The shadow glides like butter. But sometimes it seems powdery and results in minor fallouts when I use it dry and have to rub my brush too many times on it. They can be applied wet for a more dramatic look, or dry for a more natural daytime look.

Pigmentation: This is where I’m truly disappointed. Seeing the shade in the pan I expected it to be truly pigmented. But it is poorly pigmented when used dry and it definitely needs a base underneath. Just when used wet it reveals the full intensity of the colour pigments. So just damp your brush and move it on the pan, apply on eyes and see how beautiful the shade is.

Staying Power: It has a pretty good staying power when used over a base or when used wet. It stayed intact for 4 hours on me when used wet without a base and with base when applied wet it stayed for 7hours on me as it is.

Would I repurchase? No, I’m terribly upset with the pigmentation. Basically I’m lazy and it irritates me when I have to rub my brush again and again, yet see not much of difference.

Would I recommend? A gorgeous shade, and if you are not as lazy as me and wouldn’t mind swiping your brush on the pan again and again, then this is definitely your thing.
