Hello again everyone!
I am thoroughly busy with preparing for my wedding and now that its only a month away, you can imagine the stress I’m under! When my sister arrives, we both and our mom are going to spend a relaaaaxing day at a spa to counteract all this!! The wedding preparation has its perks, with all the pampering and care and all the shopping you can do without anyone guilt-tripping you, Yayy!! but the downside is that you have to make sure everything’s perfect, just the way you want it! Please wish me luck girls πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
Before I ramble some more, I will go ahead and share with you guys, a quick fix and instant face brightener (Read green tea toner recipe here) that I rely on all the time these days. On a day that my skin needed some TLC I just put together an emergency kit of sorts, of all things that’ll help my skin and the result really worked for me. I have combination skin, very moody and loves to break out just for a change of scenery!  😐

Skin Brightening  Toner Ingredients:-

1) Half a teaspoon of turmeric powder
2) Juice of one tomato
3) Juice of half a lemon
4) A spray bottle/some bottle to store it in
5) Patience to re-make this evry 5-6 days because obviously there’s no preservatives and youre gonna be applying it to your skin so SMALL batches πŸ™‚
6) 100ml of water
homemade toner+DIY skin toner
Just put all these ingredients into the bottle, fill in the water, shake well and you’re done! Use it TWICE a day, I use it thrice on most days so its your call here.
PS: I just bought the most beauuutiful half-saree at Neeru’s elite (opposite City Centre) so all you ladies in Hyderabad looking to buy something purrrrdy, just head on there! Also, any suggestions on where I can get a saree for my Mehndi? I’m thinking between Mebaz, Brisah, Srishti (Srinagar colony)…I’d love to hear any suggestions from you guys!
Take care, all πŸ™‚

    • Aww allergic to turmeric?? thats too bad bcoz its the perfect antiseptic and anti bacterial, its helped me so much to ctrl breakouts! πŸ™ I guess if you have skin on the drier side you can use Honey? πŸ™‚

  4. Wish you all the veryyy best! Hope you look awesomest on your wedding day! πŸ™‚ :tap-dance: :dance-left-right:  Recipe sounds nice just tomato immediately leads to rashes and itching on my face! πŸ™

    • Thank you sooo much Manya!! I really hope I do, I think thats the thing I stress most about!! :))
aww thats just too bad but I guess it could happen bcoz tomatoes are acidic na…maybe you can try applying really less amounts diluted in a lot of water? double the amount of water from 100 to 200ml and just try a patch test on your jaw line…if it doesnt work apply sandalwood powder on it immediately and drink the juice after adding a bit of salt n chaat masala πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜€

  5. Best of luck for your upcoming marriage life :hug-makeup: :hug-makeup: :hug-makeup: :hug-makeup: :hug-makeup: :hug-makeup: :hug-makeup:

    • hey Taps, skip tomatoes if you can’t have!!! using lemon already so no problem. yes, if you can get mint juice or leaves, that will be awesome.

  6. did you check out meena bazar in charminar area…seems like prices are cheaper and you get a variety. Mebaz is definitely awesome and wasn’t too expensive either for the quality which I like the most.

    • Havent done the rounds of charminar yet, will go once my trousseau is all set, gotta get the bangles n stuff there πŸ˜€
Yea Mebaz is on my list..I hope i find something interesting! Thank you πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  7. hey nice review :). i am lazy but will defy add this to my favourites just incase I am in the mood someday. Btw for your outfit, the wedding mall (kalaniketan) in Begumpet might also be worth a try. I bought an Anarkali from that store (after hunting quite a bit in the store). Good luck and wish ou the very best for your wedding..Have a great time.

    • Hahaa tell me about it! Im the laziest person ever but I guess marriage is the biggest motivator around! :)) Ohh I always have great luck with that store, bought a few sarees for my friends weddings and loved some of the suits they have but when it comes to the pricier sarees they have a terrible collection, tried it for my engagement, way too boring, thank you for the suggestion πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
Thanks so much for your wishes!! :hug-makeup:

  8. Sounds like an affective one Keerthi…i am into homemade toners these days. Will try this after my batch finishes. Which wont be too long.

Anu did you get to trry the grren-tea ACV toner?

  9. Waise can we use this when we go out in the sun? Does it leave any yellow cast on skin? since turmeric will tan you when exposed to sun? I intend to use it while off to work.

    • Umm I spend most days at home bcoz I dont want to tan so I cant comment on that Mitra…but bcoz it contains lemon juice, maybe you shouldnt wear it and go out in the sun immediately, maybe you can apply it just after you wake up and wash your face, that way itll get absorbed by the time you have to leave for work πŸ™‚

  10. First of all…congrats keerthi and wishes for your happy life.. :-)) :-)) and thanks for writing this post since its an absolute necessity in summer…have a great life ahead sweets.. :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose:    :hug-makeup:

i wil definitely try this  though i think i shud cut down some amount of turmeric :-))

    • Thank you sooo much Ooops!! :hug-makeup: :hug-makeup:
LOL I just read the amount I wrote bcoz I found it perfect but I should correct it, we have this really tiny spoon in our kitchen so I use half a spoon of that!!!! its more like one n a half pinches of turmeric! :O
I’ll tell Ana to edit it, thanks for reading it so carefully!! πŸ˜€

  13. Thanq so much for the tip keerthi……….im gonna surely try this……… :-)) n best wishes for ur mrg :-))
