About Burt’s Bees Peach & Willowbark Deep Pore Scrub:

  • Packaging –This comes in a tube form with a screw top lid which is quite travel friendly and hygienic.
  • Price: INR 8$ for 110gms

  • Color & Texture –The scrub is a thick off-white color with the exfoliating beads. I personally found the beads to be a bit abrasive…more so than the usual peach exfoliators which are usually meant for sensi skin.

  • Fragrance – I was hoping that this scrub would have a nice fruity or flowery scent. But unfortunately this is not so. I found the smell a bit irritating and cloying. I’m not sure how others would find it, but I sure din’t find it pleasant.
  • Usage – I just squeeze out a coin sized portion and massage on wet face and rinse.

My Verdict:Burt’s Bees Peach and Willowbark Deep Pore Scrub

This scrub did help cleanse and also helps in removing tan. But on the downside, I found the scrub too harsh and the fragrance too cloying to enjoy it. This doesn’t dry out the skin totally although I did have to use a moisturizer within 15mins of washing but that’s okay since I always apply moisturizer post scrubbing.

Hence, I propably wouldn’t suggest this to those with sensi skin or noses..

  1. Zeee…. you should charge them.. you are the unofficial BB spokesperson 🙂 🙂
I loved your descriptions of BB lip balms….. yumm yumm!!! This doesnt sound sooo promising though 🙁

Waise to be frank I think the best scrubs are the homemade ones:) 🙂 Totally my opinion!!

  2. Something on a serious note Zee, from where did you got this? Are you absolutely sure of the source dear? This scurb does not have the oil & content separate. Its a thick mixture. Just want to tell you because recently I brought a Freeman body butter from an online retail store. I doubted the thickness and when checking they really found some issue.

I hope thats not the case with you.

    • Hey SD..Thanx for the heads up…it’s definitely genuine coz it was bought in a kit from a pal…and she got me loadsa BB stuff from the same store and none of the other products has this prob…i have a feeling this may have seperated in the tube or may be expired…dunno.. 🙁 🙁

did u return ur body butter?

      • yes i did…the online seller infact stopped selling it for some time and returned the whole lot to his supplier. I even got another stuff from the same brand and even returned that to be on the safer side.

Its hard as the expiry dates and all are not mentioned. Sometimes the date of import is mentioned but then hello? you could have imported it a month before its expiry. Even better….one uncle ji in Kamla Nagar market said – beta yeh phoren ka maal hae. Exprire nahin hota!!

        :guns: :guns:

  3. i have a sensi skin as well as nose, not for me, not for me.. actually very few products suit my skin, specially scrubs, i have to be very choosy about them, which scrub do u think is good for dry skinned people.??? ?:-)

    • for Oilies i like using fab india face and body scrubs…its not too harsh and doesnt strip the body of moisture….or if u like, u can go for You snap the whip from Lush…but do try it out at the store first just incase..
