Cabbage food diet is considered to be one of the most simple and fastest way to lose weight. It is quite popular among celebrities as it shows instant results It is in one of the few diets which  give result in just 7 days but  requires strict regime to be followed.
There is believe to be no side effects of this diet as it contains Cabbage which is known as one of the Cruciferous greens in the plant family of Brassicacease.

Vegetables which are cruciferous are good for human consumption because they are edible and healthy to eat. Contains huge vitamin and nutrients, they give lot of strength to the whole body and fight with many diseases as well.
For those who are looking for a quick weight loss options then cabbage soup diet is an excellent jump to start shedding pounds.

Here is the recipe of the cabbage soup
2 small cabbage heads, shredded
2 large carrots, shredded
3-6 large tomatoes, chopped
4 red and green peppers, chopped
4 cups water
1 teaspoon of salt and pepper
Pinch of paprika
1 soup mix or broth cubes (optional)
Put all the above mentioned vegetables in boiling water for 6-10 minutes and simmer till all vegetables get cooked. Add salt or the soup mix to increase the taste. In the end add a little paprika and black pepper when soup is cooked.
You can sauté the vegetables in little olive oil to increase the taste. You can add other vegetables too like mushrooms, leeks and celery. Taste of the soup maybe bland but if you add soup mix, it taste nice.
How to follow it
Soup of the above recipe should be taken whenever you feel hungry. One should not starve at all in this diet plan and drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. After few days you will experience frequent bowel movement. This indicate that your body has started cleaning itself from waste and toxins.

You can return back to your normal routine after seven days of the diet. Follow the cabbage soup diet again after 2-3 months in the same manner if required.
P.S-Although the Cabbage Diet might have been tried and approved by some but those who are interested in trying it should first consult a licensed dietitian or nutritionist.
I am a person who believe in losing weight through a natural way but I followed this diet once before my cousin marriage .It made me lose 2 kg only as I was not totally committed to the diet and cheated few times otherwise result would have been much better.
