Chambor Jewels Metallic Liquid Eyeliner Waterproof #4 Review & Swatches – Eyeliner is a product used to define the eyes. It is applied around the contours of the eye to create a wide range of artistic illusions. There are three different varieties of eyeliners which we are all aware of-Liquid, Pencil and Gel. Each one of it is used for a different purpose. For e.g. all three the types can be used for upper lash lining but lower lash (including water line) lining can be done only by gel or pencil.
My personal favorite is liquid because I am a fan of razor-sharp and defined lines which can be offered only by liquid eyeliners. Thus bringing us to the product I chose to review today is “Chambor Jewel-#4†liquid eyeliner. I came across this product when I went looking for a grey colored eyeliner. I was impressed with what Lakme had to offer until I saw Chambor Jewel. I fell in love with it the instant i swatched it. In fact my mom herself liked it so much that she bought it for me herself (very productive day :-P)

My take on Chambor Jewels Metallic Liquid Eyeliner Waterproof #4:
It comes in a conical shaped opaque plastic bottle, in a color similar to the product itself. The packaging is sturdy making it convenient for travel. The felt tip applicator is a gift to women. It is so convenient thereby adapting to the contours of your eyes.
Coming to the product, I wasn’t really able to determine its consistency. It shows the properties of a gel based eyeliner when inside the container. When I tried tilting the bottle, the product did not drip but when applied it is so silky giving the feel of liquid eyeliner. You require just one dip for an entire eye because it spreads really well, hence no tugging.
The color is a light grey shade with a large amount of glitter particles, giving it a very shimmery look (hence the name-Jewel). When applied it does not give an opaque finish in a single swipe but makes it look like a transparent liquid with a high content of shimmer. The actual color shows up only with the second swipe. Even though it is called light grey it almost looks like dark grey hence making dark grey look like black.
It lasts almost an entire neither becoming light (problem with gel and pencil) nor cracking. Sometimes taking it off might become a problem. It tends to cling on to the lid and lashes a little too hard. But with a good make up remover this shouldn’t be a problem.
What I like about Chambor Jewels Metallic Liquid Eyeliner Waterproof #4:
- Smudge and water proof.
- Good color.
- Long lasting power.
- Cream based (non drip)
- Not too glittery.
- Great consistency for application.
- Does not require re application.
What I don’t like about Chambor Jewels Metallic Liquid Eyeliner Waterproof #4:
- Very expensive for the quantity.
- Requires two layers to show the color.
- Sometimes hard to get it off.
- Could have had more variety of shades.
Overall rating: 4.5/5
Final verdict: I would overall call it an excellent product by. It lives up to its claims and gives what it is required of. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.
