Chambor Silver Shadow Compact RR2 Review

Chambor Silver Shadow Compact RR2

Hi beauties! Today I shall be reviewing Chambor silver shadow compact in shade RR2. This is a lesser known and lesser advertised product but trust me I would never have even dreamt of purchasing it unless recommended by my sister. She is an ardent fan of Chambor and she continues using this particular compact since many years. So I considered her recommendation and purchased this compact powder.

Chambor Silver Shadow Compact RR2

To begin with, I have normal skin and I don’t really need to use a compact whatever the weather may be. Of course, I can use a powder compact in an extreme humid climate but it is not that I cannot do without it even in that weather. Somehow I don’t have a particular liking for powder compacts because they just don’t suit my skin type. Moreover, I like slightly dewy or satiny finish to my makeup than an absolute matte finish so it further kills the question of finding a powder compact in my vanity.

Price– INR 895 for 32gms product. (It comes in a 16g pack with a free refill)

Chambor Silver Shadow Compact

About Chambor Silver Shadow Compact:

A compact is a must have for all women of today. Chambor brings to you Silver Shadow – a magical compact powder which will give you the flawless finish required in a jiffy.

Chambor Silver Shadow is made up of Translucent Loose Powder which has excellent blending ability, smooth application & a silky after feel. Also acts like a perfect base and gives you a healthy look.

My Experience with Chambor Silver Shadow Compact RR2:

As described earlier, I tend to use very less compacts and this has lasted me for 2 years and there’s still some product left. Also, the refill is still intact and I haven’t even touched it. The compact gives a matte finish to the makeup and there are no shimmer/glitter particles in it which is my favourite part.

Packaging: It comes in a navy blue triangular case which is very sturdy and travel friendly. It has silver outlines and the logo of Chambor, which is a rose of course, in silver on the top of it. The name, shade & quantity are written on the backside. It has a tiny hole on the bottom. If you insert a pin through this hole, you can take the pan out and replace it with the refill.

It has a push button that you have to push to open the compact. It shuts tight and there is no chance of any accidental opening. It also has a big mirror inside it and the mirror is very nice in quality. I can do my entire makeup using that mirror. Well I would never do that but I mentioned this to tell you how nice the mirror is! It comes with a flat cotton puff applicator which doesn’t impress me much.

Staying power: The powder stays for 5-6 hours easily and controls the oil for really long. I can give this statement because my sister has really oily skin and she uses it almost daily for her face. It controls the oil and makes her face appear matte.

Coverage, Finish & Texture: The compact provides decent coverage and for just casual outings you can opt just using this and nothing else if you have a decent skin condition. As specified earlier, I have normal skin and I use it with a damp sponge or use it with a brush on my damp face. It gives a decent coverage and brightens up my face. The compact is free from ANY glitter/shimmer and I love this thing about it. It looks natural and doesn’t give even the slightest appearance of any makeup if applied in a proper way. It blends easily and doesn’t look chalky.

I use it as a setting powder too during extreme summers and it makes my makeup stay longer. It never broke me or my sister out and we both have different skin types.

What I about Chambor Silver Shadow Compact RR2:

  • Texture is good. Not chalky at all.
  • No shimmer at all.
  • Doesn’t lead to breakouts even on oily skin.
  • Controls oil and makes skin look more matte.
  • Staying power is good.
  • Free refill is an icing on the cake!
  • Chic and travel friendly packaging.
  • Mirror provided is of awesome quality and is pretty big.
  • Provides decent coverage.
  • Looks insanely natural.

What I don’t like about Chambor Silver Shadow Compact RR2:

  • The puff is not very nice.

Value for Money? Yes, totally. Lasts really long and you get a free refill. All the goodness in a box! I would definitely recommend it to all those oily skinned girls. Combination skinned girls are also gonna love it. If you have normal to dry skin and are still looking for a compact, you must consider this.

  4. Wow always wanted to try this one, but my compacts never tend to finish and I like loose powder more hence , but after seeing ur review I might get it next time :))

  5. I love this compact but strangely all the three times that I bought it, its case broke down from the joint which made it really inconvenient to use and carry plus a bit embarrassing as well. This is the only reason that I was thinking of buying some other product after being loyal to it for straight 5-6 years
