Chanel Mat Lumiere Long Lasting Luminous Matte Fluid Makeup SPF 15
About Chanel Mat Lumiere Long Lasting Luminous Matte Fluid Makeup:
A silky and comfortable texture for a matte, slightly powdery and radiant makeup result, all day long. The fluid formula of MAT LUMIÈRE blends delicately into the skin. Fine, porous and spherical particles of silica powder provide a matte finish. Shiny areas are mattified and the radiance of the face is revealed. Coated pigments conceal imperfections with an optical effect, leaving the complexion wonderfully even and radiant for enhanced beauty. The polymers in the formula optimise hold and ensure a matte complexion.
How to use? For a natural finish, dab onto the entire face and blend in with fingertips, using small circular movements, from the center of the face outwards. For a more sophisticated finish, apply with the FOUNDATION BRUSH by CHANEL.
Price: Rs 2900 for 30 ml.

My Experience with Mat Lumiere Long Lasting Luminous Matte Fluid Makeup:
Packaging: Chanel Mat Lumiere Foundation comes in a sturdy glass bottle packaging. It has a black cap with the chanel logo drawn over it. It comes with a pump dispenser which makes the job pretty easy. Pump dispenser works well and dispenses little quantity each time. You can see complete list of ingredients mentioned in the outer carton. Though packaging looks damn classy and elegant however the glass bottle might develop a crack. Packaging of the foundation is similar to what I expect from a high end brand.
Shade: Chanel Mat lumiere foundation comes in 6 shades respectively.
- 20 Claire
- 30 Cendre
- 40 Beige
- 42 Petale
- 50 Natural
- 44 Ginger
I got it in the shade 50 Natural which is perfect for people NC 40 – NC 42 skin tone. It looks damn natural on my skin tone. It has slight yellow tint to it which makes it look natural, the yellow tone is not as dominant as you see in a Mac foundation, which I really like and prefer.
Texture & Finish: This foundation has slightly thick creamy texture. However It blends into my skin easily. It does not get cakey at all. It gives luminous glowing finish. It gives a smooth velvety soft matte finish to my skin. Its not a very heavy foundation and looks very natural on my NC 42 skin tone. It did not make my skin look shiny but yeas it requires touch up after 4-5 hours. Its a great product for oily to combination skin type. It does not dry out my skin and never clogs to flaky skin.
Coverage and Blendability: This foundation gives medium coverage with a single layer and is slightly buildable with two layers. However one has to use it less amount because of SPF factor it can give white cast in flash light. This foundation blurs my freckles, redness and other blemishes to a great extent.
This foundation photographs really well in natural light, even in artificial light. This foundation does not oxidize on my skin and photographs quite well as SPF Factor is not too high. Due to presence of dimethicone, it blends easily and gives velvety smooth skin with diminished pores and lines. It is neither hydrating nor drying. It neither gives complete matte finish nor dewy :p Finish is Something in between that.
Staying Power: It stays on my skin for some 5 hours + but my skin looked bit shiny after 4 hours and I needed touch ups thereafter. I expected more longevity frankly saying. In humid weather my skin gets shiny but in winters it did keep oil at bay for longer hours.

What I don’t like about Chanel Mat Lumiere Long Lasting Fluid Makeup Foundation:

My Overall Recommendation:
Chanel Mat Lumiere Long lasting foundation range comes in only shades with velvety creamy texture and soft luminous matte finish. It gives medium coverage with a single layer but is slightly buildable with 2 layers. It has SPF 15. I would recommend this product to people with combination, and oily skin type. It does not dry out skin. Its wear time is 5-6 hours maximum. It looks very natural and photographs well in natural and artificial light. However, I did get white cast in flash light photography. If you get your shade in this range and do not mind the price tag it comes with, then go for it, or else skip it.
