Clarins UV Plus HP SPF 40 Day Screen Review+all climate and all skin sunscreen
Thanks to the presence of an anti-pollution complex formulated with 5 ingredients and plant extracts like rhodiole, white tea, succory dock-cress and two extracts obtained from biotechnology: Venuceane and Glycofilm, your skin is also protected against the harmful environmental effects of city life.
I had explained UVA and UVB rays in detail HERE.  UV Plus HP SPF 40 protects against UVA which penetrates deeply into the skin leading to permature skin aging and wrinkling,
as well as UVB which damages the more superficial layer of the skin, causing sunburn and dark spots.
This product is suitable for all skin types: Sensitive, Normal, Dry, Combination and Oily. The formula is also resistant to water and perspiration.

Shake the bottle well.  Since the bottle has a nozzle to dispense the product, squeeze out about 5 to 6 drops in your palm and then smooth it all over face and neck with light pressing motions from the middle of the face (cheeks) moving outward, then quickly smooth on with fingertips. It can also be applied to the eye contour area.  Use it after your day cream and before make-up.

My experience with Clarins UV Plus HP SPF 40 Day Screen Review:

I absolutely love the light and watery texture. It’s not oily and sticky. It feels like there’s nothing on my face. I have photodermatosis ( light allergy) and panic sometimes when I go out cause I can’t feel the oiliness of my previous sunscreen on my face.  This one just gets absorbed by my skin and leaves my face feeling soft and smooth as silk after application, for the entire day.  Iv’e used it religiously for a week now and I love love love love it.  I have not had any breakouts or redness so far.  It is a fab product for sensitive skin/oily skin.  Of course normal and dry skin can also use it….really ladies…go for it!
Are you looking for a tinted Day Screen well look no further.  In India the Clarins UV Plus HP SPF 40 Day Screen is availiable in two tints for Sheer Perfection and Triple Protection.
  • Pink / Tinted: For a luminous, radiant complexion
  • Beige: For a flawless, even-toned skin

They are both priced at INR 2,200 for 30 ml
Finally let’s face it, no doubt this product is pricey for 30ml but I feel damn good using it. It does’nt leave a white cast, it does’nt drip down my face, It feels like I got nothing on, acts as a good makeup base and It does all the protecting it needs to do.  Lets do the math -I used a syringe to try it this out. 0.20ml is about all you need per time and this formula comes in a 30 ml bottle. so 0.20 ml divided by 30 ml is like 150. so if u use it 150 times that would be 150 days and thats like 5 months. so I would like to make that 6 months considering holidays and sundays when I don’t go out!  If I think bout it that way I feel very certain about buying it once more!

  1. Saw the word “clarins” n knew that it wud ur review Chris 🙂 I like the cute bottle too n it’s amazing the way u calculated how long this’d last. But i guess it’s more of psychological trauma to spend more than 2grand at a go on a single product however long it lasts 😀

    • ya its expensive but I dont buy it so ….In that way Im lucky to use their stuff…if i had to buy products i would go to lotus and back home!

  2. Lovely review 🙂
i have used up quite a few of their stuff and honestly, white plus range was the only one that did not work. (Shruti, try going for multi active range samples,,,,,,).. rest alll are awesome, worth the price and can be used well for abput 6 months!!!!!
And i personally love the sunblock.. i believe we have 3 variants in India
    1) Pink tinted 2) Beige tinted 3) White / Neutral with no tint, just plain liquid
I have used the neutral one (still have it) and it saved me from tanning big time!!!!! 🙂

  3. your measurements are correct but for proper protection, you actually need 5ml (guess people apply 1-2ml at max, 0.2 is too less) of sunscreen unless it has zinc oxide (around 20-25%) so that kinda makes this product last only 6 days 😀 and its too expensive. I did check it out and heard that it gives an amazing matte finish.

    • Ya. it has always been a problem that people use way too less sunscreen and actually do not get the benefits of SPF and PA+ said on the bottle. For the face to get at least 95% protection you should use a teaspoon and for the body 2-3 tablespoons. 🙂
      Nice review 🙂

  4. Clarins products are expensive but they do work really well. Am going to chk out their range soon. 😀 ANd as ausual very nice and detailed review Chris. :dance-left-right:
