About Coastal Scents Hot Pot:
We offer Blush Hot Pots labeled with the letter B and our eye shadows in different finishes identified by the following letters: Matte (M) and Satin/Shimmer (S). You may also select shades from our Creative Me #1 Palette labeled CM and our Metal Mania and Creative Me #2 Palettes labeled ME.
My experience with Coastal Scents Hot Pot S02 Light Blue:
Packaging: The eye shadow pan is housed in a sturdy plastic case with a scissor lock. The plastic case keeps the pan safe and protects the product inside from any sort of damages. The shade number is written at base.
Shade: An arctic inspired blue-grey hue with a shimmer finish. Now when you read the name “Light blue†you just visualize a soft light blue, the color we often used to paint the sky in our childhood days, but in real it is highly frosted silvery sea foam bluish green, but never-the-less, it is gorgeous and a great highlighter. I love wearing it either on the inner third of my eyelid or right in the centre of the lid. It works on brow bone too.
Texture: Though the eye shadow is loaded with shimmers, yet it has a smooth texture and the shimmers are not chunky and add a gorgeous sheen when applied on eyes. The color does not feel powdery or chalky and there is no fall out at all. It is easy to apply and blends well with other shades too.
Pigmentation: Incredibly pigmented. One swipe is enough for an opaque coverage and two gives rich flush of color. The best part is when it you are layering it up, you don’t end up with the chunky shimmers, but you end up with a smooth textured flush of color.
Staying power: The staying power is awesome and it stayed intact on me for more than 7 hours. No smudging or fading. Though it comes out with a minimal cleanse in one swipe.
Summing up my likes and Dislikes:-
What I like about Coastal Scents Hot Pot S02 in Light Blue:
- Gorgeous shade.
- Non-chunky shimmers.
- Smooth satiny texture.
- Blends like a dream.
- Incredibly pigmented.
- Great staying power.
- Cute packaging.
- Dirt Cheap.
- Pick up your own colors and customize your pallet.
What I don’t like about Coastal Scents Hot Pot S02 in Light Blue:
- None to me. But some may find the name deceiving.
This shade is a dupe of MAC Brill eye shadow. Coastal Scents has done a great job in this. We are getting a MAC dupe with an equally gorgeous shade, equally good texture, equally great pigmentation and color payoff but at a much lesser rate.
Final thoughts: If you need a good highlighting shade other than usual silvers, one which is pigmented, has an awesome texture and blends well too, then you can try this. Great quality and works really well. Add some pizzazz to your eyes with this utterly gorgeous silvery sea foam green eye shadow.
I would definitely purchase this and would recommend to everyone.
