Coastal Scents Hot Pot S24 Forest Green
Green eye shadows are my favorite, and I love them even more when they are subtle, mossy and forest green happens to be my most favorite. It’s a color I can easily carry off. So today, I’ll be reviewing such a color from Coastal Scents. It is hot pot in “ S24 Forest Greenâ€.
About Coastal Scents Hot Pots:
We offer Blush Hot Pots labeled with the letter B and our eye shadows in different finishes identified by the following letters: Matte (M) and Satin/Shimmer (S). You may also select shades from our Creative Me #1 Palette labeled CM and our Metal Mania and Creative Me #2 Palettes labeled ME.
My experience with Coastal Scents Hot Pot S24 Forest Green:
Packaging: The eye shadow pan is housed in a sturdy plastic case with a scissor lock. The plastic case keeps the pan safe and protects the product inside from any sort of damages. The shade number is written at base.
Shade: A rich, deep green hue with a satiny finish. It can be used alone or combined with other shades as well. Great for every skin tone. Though it is described as a “deep greenâ€, in real it is actually pretty light, a soft medium sage green. It can be worn alone or combined with soft colors for casual neutral look as well as paired with bold shades for dramatic evening looks.
Texture: The shadow has smooth texture and has fine shimmers, which doesn’t feel harsh or chunky. The color does not feel chalky and there is no fall out at all. It is easy to apply and blends well with other shades too.
Pigmentation: Well pigmented. It shows even without a primer. Very rich and one swipe gives a pretty flush of color on eyes. The shade is build-able and thus can be intensified as per choice.
Staying power: The staying power is awesome and it stayed intact on me for more than 6 hours. No smudging or fading. Though it comes out with a minimal cleanse in one swipe.
Summing up my likes and Dislikes:-
What I like about Coastal Scents Hot Pot S24 Forest Green:
- Gorgeous shade.
- Non-chunky shimmers.
- Smooth satiny texture.
- Blends like a dream.
- Well pigmented.
- Stays long.
- Cute packaging.
- Dirt Cheap.
- Pick up your own colors and customize your pallet.
What I don’t like about Coastal Scents Hot Pot S24 Forest Green:
- Availability in India.
People say this gorgeous shade is a dupe of MAC ShimmerMoss eye shadow. But I feel Shimmermoss is a vibrant, richly pigmented teal colored shadow which can’t be a dupe of Forest Green, but you can say CS one is like 50% close to the MAC one. Except the color, they have equally good textures, equally good pigmentation and color payoffs, but Forest Green comes at a much lesser rate.
Final thoughts: I love this shade and this is a beautiful color. Looks best when paired with lemony green, pale greens or other shimmery shades. It’s a completely gorgeous color, blends well, decently pigmented and lasts long with or without a primer.
I would definitely purchase this and would recommend to everyone.
