Colorbar Feel The Rain Lipstick Collection Review
Hi Guys!! I live in Mumbai and among the best parts of this city is its Monsoons. I love the rains and when I came across the Colobar Feel the Rain collection, which was launched in summer, I knew I had to buy them. But I waited for few months and got it eventually at 20% discount from an ecommerce site. I bought 3 lipsticks from this collection, 2 of which belong to the matte collection and one is from the exposed lip color duo range. Just look at the packaging isn’t it gorgeous? It would tempt anybody to buy!! These come in metallic packaging and have water droplets texture on it. Let’s see Colorbar Feel The Rain Lipstick Collection Review!
About Colorbar Feel The Rain Lipstick Collection
There are 7 shades in the Matte collection. What’s interesting is that the shade names are inspired by various features of rain. Some names are Lightning, thunder, storm, shower, Hail, Damp & Drizzle. I bought the Shade Hail and Storm.
And there are 4 shades in the Exposed Lipcolor duo range named cloudburst, Downpour, Scotch mist and Wet sunshine. I bought the shade Wet sunshine.
Colorbar Feel The Rain Matte Lipstick Wet Sunshine
Lets see what the product claims
Bright, bold, vivid ultra-matte and soothing ultra-moisture join forces to create this super-rich, super-pampering, super-sexy lipstick. Pure drama. Pure glamour. It is enriched with the goodness of FIVE essential oils – Argan Oil, Moringa Oil, Jojoba Oil, Castor Oil & Vit E that restores moisture and improves texture of the skin. It also has sun protecting properties which nourishes and protect lips against UV rays.
My Experience with Colorbar Feel the Rain Lipstick
The shade Hail is a beautiful warm toned bright pink and Shade Storm is a gorgeous Red with Orange undertone. I love buying lipsticks which instantly brightens up my face, especially for those days when you don’t feel like wearing any makeup, and both these shades do exactly that. Both these shades will look pretty on all Indian Skin tones.
Now coming to the pigment, both the shades are extremely pigmented, you can see the swatch in the image and it is with just one swipe you get the desired pigment. Also, the shade settles down to a comfortable matte, these are not the extremely drying matte (thank god) but more of a regular wearable matte finish. They do transfer as they are not complete matte. But in spite of that what surprised me is the staying power.
It easily lasts on lips for 6-7hrs, after which it leaves a stain on lips which doesn’t look bad like some lipsticks do after fading. I have worn this lipstick and had my breakfast, drank 2 cups of green tea, drank 2ltrs of water and had lunch and still looked almost intact. I am totally impressed with this formula and the best part it comes with UV protection and that’s always a plus in the tropical country we live in.

My Experience With Colobar Wet Sunshine Lipstick
I got the shade Wet sunshine which is a gorgeous oranges-ish red with warm undertone. This shade will suit all Indian skin tones. It’s a daily wearable color, not extremely bright on the lips.
The texture of these lipsticks are similar to the matte collection. The lipsticks are wearable matte, doesn’t dry up the lips nor enhances the lines on the lips. These too last easily for 5-6hrs. This lipstick comes with a gloss for those who don’t like matte lipsticks.
I have tried applying gloss (I am not a fan of glosses) a couple of times over my lipstick. It gives a nice glossy look, also makes the lips look more fuller, but it transfers a lot whenever you eat or drink. Also, I don’t like the sticky feeling on my lips, it makes my hair stick to my lips which I absolutely hate. But I love the shade, it’s an absolute gorgeous shade.
Would I recommend these lipsticks?: Yes, they are worth trying!!
