Hello my makeup buddies, how are you all??? I know these boiling summers are just not letting us cool down, I hate so much of heat 🙁
By now you all must have got a vague idea about my love for lipsticks, you can check my previous reviews on lipsticks here and here.
Today the product I shall be reviewing is a lippy from Colorbar Matte Touch range in shade BARE ALL.
About Colorbar Matte Touch Lipstick:
It features the glamorous properties of a matte lipstick with velvety finish which will make you fall in love. The amazing lipstick has intense color that is creamy, soft and glides smoothly on application simply moisturizing and incredibly wearable yet absolutely matte.
Directions for application: Line the lips with a suitable lip liner. Press the bullet to the lips using even pressure to apply color on both upper and lower lips. To refresh and even out, press lips together. Using a lip brush gives a richer and more precise color application.
Shelf life: 3 years.
Price: Earlier it was Rs.500-/ but now it is slashed down to Rs.475-/
I got mine for Rs.452-/ 🙂 You may get it here.
Packaging: It has a typical colorbar metallic casing kind of packing. Earlier they used to have a metallic pink colored band but now it is an allover silver colored cylinder tube. It has a click open lock which makes it travel friendly.
Texture: Though they are mattes but they have a bit of creamy texture which glides on smoothly on lips without any tugging.
Pigmentation: The color pay off is quite decent. It settles to a semi- opaque finish in a single swipe and is completely opaque in multiple swipes.
Staying Power: It stays for some 3-4 hours on me with little snacking. After which it leaves a pink stain..
My Take about Colorbar Matte Touch Lipstick Bare All:
The new matte touch lippies come with a pointed beak like tip. On application the lipstick settles itself to a semi matte finish with a visible creamy shine which goes after a while. Though matte, the lipstick is not much drying. Moving on to the shade, the name of this lipstick shade is extremely misleading.
It is nowhere near to a bare shade. In tube it appears to be a bit darker than on my lips. The shade is like a pink shade with brown undertones, but not a nude color.
But this is not it, after 1-2 hours I find the shade slightly starts to change itself from brownish pink to a more pinkier shade. After 3-4 hours it leaves a bright pink stain on my lips. Though the stain color is beautiful but the agony is, when am buying a bare/ nude shade I would certainly don’t want my lips to have a bright pink tint on my lips. The stain ends the entire purpose of my purchase.
What I like about Colorbar Matte Touch Lipstick Bare All:
- The texture is soft to apply.
- Glides on smoothly.
- Nice color off.
- Good staying power.
- Does not dry out lips.
- Sturdy packaging.
What I don’t like about Colorbar Matte Touch Lipstick Bare All:
- Misleading shade name.
- I don’t like the stain that it leaves behind.
- Matte lovers may not like the creamy finish and shine.
- The bright pink satin that it leaves behind will not suit all skin tones.
Rating: 3/5 🙂
Will I recommend: Though it is a beautiful shade with an even more beautiful stain but this is not worth recommending, since it is not at all BARE ALL…
