Colorbar Perfect Match Face Primer

Hi girls,

I did a recent haul at the Colorbar outlet, so much so that I was given a free vanity πŸ˜› I love the freebies more than the things I purchased πŸ™

Anyhow, I read reviews on why one should use primer, and as a makeup enthusiast, I decided to buy a primer from Colorbar, since I really like its stuff. I use the BB cream in vanilla matte, the pressed powder; nail paints, moisturizer all from Colorbar. Oh and not to forget, I also love the creamy burnt orange lipstick, which is already reviewed on She  :-)It is my favorite and I think it compliments Indian skin tones a lot.

My take on the Colorbar Perfect Match Face Primer :

I have dry skin, so make up usually lasts longer on my face, but I was reading so much about using a primer, so I thought let me give it a try. This Colorbar primer is a thick gel like liquid which oozes out from the twist open bottle with ease. I love the packing, it is classy and the transparent bottle, helps you know how much product is left.

The primer has to be applied before you start doing your make up. This particular primer has silicones, which can be guessed due to its gel consistency. I applied it after cleansing and moisturizing my face, after which, I did my make up as usual. On application of a primer, the skin becomes satiny soft. My make up lasted longer, but I did not get any over the top results. Yes, it does help oily skin beauties, since the T zone will not get oily for a long time, but for me. It does not happen so often except when I step out in extreme summers.

My mom has been using this primer, and her fine lines and pores do seem to be minimized. I think it really works for her. She looked pretty even after a tiring day πŸ˜‰

Overall, I recommend this to all oily skin girls, women with fine lines or open pores. For me I would continue using it, when I know I will be out for long. So that the makeup lasts longer πŸ™‚

Have you tried Colorbar Perfect Match Face Primer?

    • Hi Sush, if you have dry skin, then I suggest you may skip it :))
also, it covers up fine lines and open pores. So if mommie dearest needs it, then do get it for her..

    • You are right Zara:) if you have dry skin, does not mean primer will make it more dry. But it wont be required much in winters unless you face the camera too much or remain outdoors for really long..

and I love your name as much as I love clothes from Zara πŸ˜‰

      • I wanna add one point here like this colorbar primer is suitable for oily skin as it soaks up excess oil and lengthens wear time of makeup base, which oily skin pple wud love, dry skin people on other hand have other concern, like hydration and better staying power of makeup base, for which hydrating primers will help, abroad prople get to use primers according to their skin type.if a primer soaks up natural oil, tht thing dry skinies of course wont like na, if u guys check at some indian online sites two types of primers r available one is hydrating primer and another for oily skin people by konad.

        • thanks dear. I asked the Colorbar SA and he told me that it is meant for all skin types. But I agree, i need hydrating primers πŸ™‚

  1. i had got this during last winter when my skin was pretty dry, i liked how it filled lines and pores looked refined, i loved the fee, but its drying, so i sold it off in blog sale, now that my skin has got oily this year, i am regretting why i sold it off :p πŸ˜€ tht time price was only 650, now its 825, bad luck

    • Thanks for adding this Tapaswini. And yeah it is quite pricey now πŸ™ why lord

I don’t find it drying cos I use a moisturizer beneath.. I guess I don’t need it too much in winters
