My Experience with Colorbar Soft Touch Lipstick in Rubby Woo:
This was just an impulsive online purchase and I’ll be honest that i was allured by the name. I was assuming the shade to be somewhere close to red but it is just not what I wanted. Colorbar Soft Touch Lipstick in Rubby Woo is a deep burgundy color sans any shimmer, a shade perfect for fall. The color instantly brightens up my face but I’m personally not fond of such burgundy-maroonish shades, I feel it gives a very matured look to my face.
Texture and Pigmentation: The formula of the lipstick is creamy enough and it applies really smoothly without any tugging. Since this particular color is quite dark, it gives enough color in a single swipe itself. You will have to be careful with its application because its quite staining and correcting any mistakes with this color is a big pain!
As per the claims, Colorbar Soft touch Lipstick in Rubby Woo is indeed very soft creamy and hence there are chances that the color may bleed. To be on the safer side, I always line my lips with a lip liner first and then go over with the lipcolor. The finish is neither too matte nor overly creamy, its somewhere in between.
Staying Power: With this shade, I got over 4 hours of wear after which the color started fading and by the end of the day, O was left with light red stain on my lips.
I love how the lipstick feels on the lips. I absolutely hate those extremely creamy formula lipsticks and I am glad this one doesn’t feel heavy on the lips despite being moisturizing.
Packaging: Colorbar Soft Touch Lipstick comes in a sleek silver tube and an outer silver carton. The packaging is sturdy enough but unlike the Velvet Matte range, the Soft Touch range doesn’t have any colored label for identification.
What I like About Colorbar Soft Touch Lipstick in Rubby Woo:
- Sturdy packaging.
- Soft and creamy texture.
- Softening and moisturising.
- Rubby Woo shade will suit most Indian skintones.
- Good staying power.
- Doesn’t settle into fine lines.
What I don’t like About Colorbar Soft Touch Lipstick in Rubby Woo:
- A colored base would have been helpful.
- This particular shade is a bit staining.
Final Thoughts: Colorbar Soft Touch Lipstick in Rubby Woo is a ‘fall-perfect’ burgundy shade with some hints of pink in it. The color would look pretty on most Indian skin tones but I think the shade is not something unusual. More the color, I’m impressed with the texture of this particular range. I’m surely checking out other shades from this range!
