My experience with Colorbar Star Shine Gloss Mad Cap :

Packaging: The gloss’s body comes in regular Colorbar silver colored outer carton.  The gloss comes in a transparent cylindrical body made of plastic with a doe foot applicator that works as a cap that screw opens and is metallic silver in color. The packaging is not at all bulky and the cap closes firmly preventing any leaks, thus it is a travel friendly product.

Texture: The gloss is a little sticky and consists of shimmers. The consistency of the gloss adds to the easy application of the gloss.

My take: First and foremost let me tell you all I am not at all a glitter person and could never imagine any shimmer on my lips but then some day or the other I had to try them, only after trying I can figure out if shimmer looks as bad as I think.

Coming to the shade Mad Cap, it is brownish- copper in color with shimmers in it. But on application I found that it applies on like a nude shade with shimmers very clearly evident. It applies sheerly and does not work well for pigmented lips.

The shimmer in the gloss is not gritty for the ones who have no issues with flaunting shimmer lip makeup but for me it was not a good idea to purchase this. The shimmer in it made me cautious each time I used this gloss.

The gloss has some moisturizing properties and does not make my lips feel dry.

The doe foot applicator is soft & spongy and does a decent job when it comes to application but I feel that the applicator drinks some products.

It fares well on the staying power front and stays on for some 3-4 hours with light meals.

So overall the texture and packaging of the gloss is nice but the sheer coverage that it provides is something that bothers me. But yeahhhhh to make this gloss put to use I can team it up with any lip color all thanks to the sheer coverage.

What I like about Colorbar Star Shine Gloss- Mad Cap:

  • Good product for the price given.
  • Makes lips look fuller.
  • Can be worn on lipsticks too
  • Nice applicator.
  • Makes lips feel moisturized.
  • Travel friendly packaging.

What I don’t like about Colorbar Star Shine Gloss- Mad Cap:

  • Shimmer in nude shade may not look likable.
  • Sticky texture.
  • Pigmented lips  may find a hard time with its sheer coverage,

Rating: 3.5/5

Will I Recommend: Shimmer lovers may try it.
