I am back with a review after a very long time. The recent weather in Mumbai made it impossible to get good pics and I was travelling as well.Speaking of travel, I was looking for a 100 ml bottle of makeup remover as I did not want to check in my bags at the airport (for those who are not aware,it is not permitted to carry botlles larger than 100 ml on board). My first choice was Maybelline Eye and Lip but then I would still need a face makeup remover,so I got this. What I like about this range of removers is that they have have makeup removers to suit different skin types.

Price: Rs.699 for 90 ml. Expiry is 3 yrs from date of Manufacture
Colorbar Introduced these makeup removers a few months back. What piqued my interest was there were different removers for each skin types. But that interest was short lived as all are bi phased removers barring the one for sensitive skin types which is a cream based remover.
What Colorbar says about them?
My Experience with Colorbar Ultimate Makeup Remover For Oily and Combination Skin:
The packaging looks functional at first glance, but it can be a pain to open at times, as the cap needs to be pushed down before twisting it and that is not a good idea when you are already tired and end up struggling with bottle. The upside is that this ensures leak proof travel though.
The remover itself is a biphase one wherein it has to be shaken well to mix both the components together .It claims to have tea tree oil in it ,but if you look at the ingredients list,Tea Tree oil is the second last ingredient.meaning it has very little of it. There is absolutely no detectable fragrance of tea tree oil in the remover.
Usage: One has to saturate a cotton ball /pad with the remover and swipe it over the face. The good thing is it dissolves all waterproof makeup quickly and without much struggle,Take a look at the pics: I have swatched all long stay makeup on my arm and then swiped the cotton pad twice.
Above: All long stay /waterproof eyeliners.and lipsticks swatched.
Well. the makeup remover does a good job in removing makeup for sure ,but its STINGS my eyes and how! My eyes turned red after every usage and stayed that way for atleast 3 hours.
Another thing that peeved me was the oily residue that is left behind and wont go away unless you use a face wash ? Not apt for oily skin then at all ! See the pic above carefully, you can actually see the oil droplets. I did not detect even a trace of tea tree oil in the remover.
