It is kind of fried rice but tastes quiet different because of corn. Very simple to make and tastes delicious.
Cooking time-30 minutes
1 cup basmati rice or any rice which you cook fried rice(You can use left over rice too that will increase the taste of the fried rice)
2 chopped onion or you can slice them into long strips
Â½ cup American sweet corn (frozen one)
Â½ cup green peas (frozen one)
1 carrot thinly sliced
2 chopped green chillies
1 tsp ginger garlic paste (optional)
1tbsp soya sauce
Salt as per taste
2 tbsp oil.
Step1-Clean rice and boil it in water .You can pressure cook them or any way you usually do. If pressure cooking then cook rice with 1.4 cups of water and if boiling it in a container then cook it in double water.
Step2-When cook filter the water with the help of a sieve.
Step3-Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onion, ginger garlic paste and chopped green chillies.
Step4-Saute them for 2-3 minutes and add turmeric and salt (we will be adding soya sauce in it and it also has little salt so go accordingly) in it.
Step5-Add chopped carrots and stir fry till they are tender. You can close the lid of the pan so that carrot cooks fast.
Step6– Add sweet corn and green peas and sautÃƒÂ© for couple of minutes.
Step7-Add rice, vinegar and soya sauce. You can check the taste of the salt.
Serve hot with tomato ketchup or any sauce of your choice.
