Since I got married, I’ve been making pasta with sauce from a jar. It seems so easy, doesn’t it? Boil pasta, add sauce, mix and eat. The thing is, my husband would never eat this pasta. So I finally decided to make my pasta sauce from scratch, just to make it more appealing to him. I also made some garlic bread to go with it, just to tempt him even more. It worked! My husband loved this meal and I’m definitely going to remake it! 🙂

 

Creamy-tomato-spaghetti-and-garlic-bread-recipe

 

Creamy Tomato Spaghetti Ingredients:-

  • Small onion – 1
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Butter – 2 tbsp
  • Tomato puree – 2 cups
  • Salt – to taste
  • Pepper – to taste
  • Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar – 1/4 tsp
  • Spaghetti – 150g
  • Cream – 1/4 to 1/2 cup
  • Parmesan cheese – 1/4 cup, plus 2 tbsp more

 

Method Of Preperation:-

  • 1. Chop the onion and mince the garlic.
  • 2. Heat the butter in a skillet on medium heat and sauté them for 3-4 mins.
  • 3. Add salt, pepper, chilli powder and sugar.
  • 4. Stir in the tomato puree and turn the heat to low. Let this sauce simmer, covered, for 20-25 mins, stirring from time to time.
  • 5. Meanwhile boil the spaghetti (according to the instructions on the packet) adding a pinch of salt. Drain and keep aside.
  • 6. Take the sauce off the gas and stir in the cream. I used 1/2 cup but you can reduce it by half and it will taste just as good.
  • 7. Then add the parmesan and mix well.
  • 8. Add the spaghetti and mix.
  • 9. Serve in bowls, sprinkling 1 tbsp of parmesan cheese on top of each serving, if desired. I skipped this step because I forgot, but it was still super tasty.

 

Garlic bread Recipe Ingredients:

  • Baguette – half
  • Garlic – 3 cloves
  • Butter – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Pepper – to taste
  • Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp

 

Method of Preparation Of Garlic Bread:-

  1.  Preheat oven to 205°C.
  2. Take the half baguette and cut it into 4 pieces.
  3.  Roast the garlic cloves (with the covering on) in the microwave for 15-20 seconds or until you hear a popping noise.
  4. The garlic will now pop out of the covering easily. Mash it up with a fork.
  5. Add the butter to the garlic and mash the two together.
  6. Add the seasonings and mix well.
  7.  Spread this garlic butter on the bread.
  8.  Bake for 7-8 minutes.

And that’s it, a filling and delicious meal that will surely have your family members licking their fingers!

  1. I make my creamy pasta using cheddar cheese & it turns out ok bt lil diiferent from what we get in restaurants (lil sour) 🙁 now i’ll use Parmesan cheese :yippee: :tap-dance:

    • is it..i am going to try them..saw a big ad of it today.i got soya vegget ..they are vailable in briyani , noodles and salad form ..i am excited to try them out 🙂
