Today, I am here with another easy, okay super easy DIY to share with you. I think I am becoming a pro at doing super easy DIYs 😛
I am sure you will love this because this DIY is meant for all skin types. It is a natural rosewater toner. I think, one day I could come with a DIY face wash too 😛
I just love when I find simpler ways of doing things all by myself and when the DIYs are amazing alternatives to the market products. Remember I told you in one of my article on CTM routine that one can skip toner altogether if they have indulged in a good effective cleansing. But still we all use toner and need it to complete our religious CTM routine.
I have super oily skin and for my CTM routine, i wash my face with my all time favourite Oriflame tea tree purifying face wash and to tone i use rosewater, yes plain rosewater in summers and cleansing milk in winters. Finally, i skip any cream for moisturizing and massage my face well with aloevera gel. This helps my sensitive skin and about oiliness, well it has to come all over my face again- oil just loves my face.
So, now after all the chatter patter about myself, let us directly jump to the DIY and see what all we need.
• lavender oil
• tea tree oil
• lots of water
Preparation time – 2 to 5 minutes
As we are making a rosewater toner so we will use rosewater for it in the maximum quantity but will keep water as the base of this toner.
You will need 3-5 tablespoons of rosewater, 5 drops of lavender oil and tea tree oil each, and water as base which you can take 100-150ml. We are aiming for a lesser quantity for the first time trying this out. In case you love it, you can make it in larger quantity and store it. Now, mix everything together and store in an air tight bottle with sturdy cap. Shake well before every use.
You have your all natural homemade toner ready in no time 😀
You have to be really very careful whole mixing the essential oils. Use a dropper to poor in oil in the mix and do not go beyond 5 drops in any case. If you are making it in larger quantity, 7-10 drops will be more than suffice. Tea tree oil is very strong and hence should be carefully used.
I hope you like this simple DIY rosewater toner. Will you try this out? What is your CTM routine?
