My most favourite lip color after Red is Pink and whenever I see a Red based pink ,I feel like buying it 😀
Well! Today’s post is all about dupe and comparison between my two top most favourite lip colors Loreal Star Red Collection Pure Vermeil and Wet and Wild Old School Glam. Keep on scrolling to know more about dramatic story of these lip colors!
Description and Comparison :-
First of all, Both are not high end brands and I have had great experience with both of their products. Few months ago, I lost my old school Glam one some where in my room and I tried to find it but I didn’t get lucky. Then I hooked on to this L’oreal Pure Vermeil lipstick and loved applying it every other day!
One week later when I was cleaning my closet, I found Wet and wild old school glam in my old wallet. OMG! 😀 How could I be so careless about my lipsticks! I mean they are life. Interestingly! I compared both of them and found them pretty similar…What a dramatic story .lol!
Shades and Pricing
Loreal Star Red Collection Pure Vermeil: INR 995 ( Approx )
WnW Old School Glam INR 240 (Approx)
Loreal has been taking makeup industry by storm by their new launches. Being a drugstore brand and having high end brand quality in their product always tempted me to buy their lovely collection of makeup. Well, this lipstick is from their permanent and best ever Star Reds collection.
This lipstick comes in sleek black color packaging with a color coded rectangular button on its neck. The most attractive thing about this lipstick is they are signature lipsticks by Loreal brand ambassadors. Woah! You can easily find your type of red in this collection . Loreal states this lip color as Fan Bingbing red. This is Coral- pink based red which looks absolutely stunning on fair to medium skin tones. The color suits my NC 35 skin tone beautifully without any heavy base on. The most amazing part of this lip color is its texture very creamy and smooth and provides satin matte finish which I adore a lot.
deeper tones may not like this particular shade because it looks very neon-ish on deeper tones. the pigmentation is medium to build-able and it might be looking patchy after some time of application. it’s better to prepare and prime lips before application of this lip color. The staying power is great too, it stays on me for about 5-6 hours with minimal fading and can be easily removed by a good makeup remover.
This lipstick is my all time favourite in all aspects. The packaging may be turn off for some because after sometime its all fade-off and doesn’t look good at all. It is little flimsy as well and need to carry with care while travelling. The color is pretty similar like L’oreal one but the only different it has more coral- pink tones than reds.It comes in silver color lipstick tube packaging with a clear cap. The lipstick bullet has a round tip and all the necessary information of the lip color has displayed on it body.
The pigmentation is great and covers 100% lip pigmentation in 1-2 swipes. It has pure matte finish but doesn’t dry your lips over time.
Guys,It has long…longer Staying power. It survives munching, drinking and even full meal and no touch ups! The only minus point is its packaging. but what more you could asked for at 240 rs!
I love both of them a lot and I don’t mind purchasing them again until I don’t find this gorgeous color in some other brands at this price tag.
Stay tuned for more from #Dupe series 🙂
