Edible Food Ingredients Great For The Skin
Have you ever felt like licking a particular product you have come across while using it for the skin! Well, it it happens most of the time specially when it is related to chocolate! :-p
But chocolate is yummy but brings in a lot of calories in your body which you need to get rid of by being physically active! But what if I tell you that there are some such edible food items which can be readily used for skin care and can even be consumed! Isn’t that great! 😀
Well, yes I have some of the yummiest ingredients which have really magical effects on the skin and are equally great for the health if you consume them directly!
Honey & Lemon Mask
- 2tsp Honey (organic edible honey)
- 2-3 drops of Lemon
This face mask uses the moisturizing effects of honey along with the natural bleaching and brightening effect of lemon which is rich in vitamin C content and helps in getting back the lost glow of the skin! A regular use of this face mask will make the skin soft and help in removing the skin blemishes and improve the skin tone considerably!
This also great for overall health, If you are fond of lemon water as the first thing in the morning pour in few drops of honey for better taste and yes it works! 🙂
Oatmeal Scrub for Face & Body
- 3-4 tbsp Oatmeal
- 2 tbsp Honey
We all have had oatmeal as our favorite breakfast in our growing years and now even if you do not eat it any more it is surely one of the healthiest meal anyone can begin their day with!
Oatmeal can be crushed and along with honey it makes a perfect exfoliating pack for the skin. It scrubs off the dead skin cells gently and reveals a brighter looking skin!
Papaya Pulp Exfoliating Mask
Every time I cut a papaya to have a bowl of it, I make sure to secure some cubes for this exfoliating mask. It is also an anti-ageing mask as papaya is known to firm the skin!
- 2-3 cubes of Ripe Papaya
- 2 tsp Sugar (fine sugar crystals)
Well, you can have you bowl of papaya along while putting this mask on your face. I promise it will give the most gentle and effective exfoliating feel to the skin and you skin will eel rejuvenated, supple and if you are over 30, regular use will surely give you a firm skin with regular usage!
This makes for a great papaya shake where you can just put a small quantity of sugar as ripe papaya is naturally very sweet! 🙂
Strawberry Lip Scrub
Have you ever met someone who doesn’t love strawberries? I haven’t and yes this is one yummy scrub your lips might want to lick all of it!
- 2 strawberries ( crushed to form a pulp)
- 1-2 tsp Sugar
One can freely skin sugar because the seeds in strawberry are naturally exfoliating and so you can apply it directly on your lips and it removes the dead skin cells and the vitamin c in strawberry helps in lightening the darkness of the lips! 🙂
Do I need to say how you cannot resist tasting this lip scrub! 😉
