      Hi Anu,

Sending you the recipe for coconut chutney.

      Ingredients:

      Coconut Chutney:

1 coconut, the one with brown shell. You can use the dried coconut also.

      4-5 sticks of curry leaves

      ½ teaspoon cumin seeds

      2-3 green chillies

      1 cup water

      2-3 tablespoons of curd (whipped)

      2 teaspoons Salt

      Tadka:

      1 stick of curry leaves

      1 teaspoon urad dal

      Chutney:

      1. Cut the coconut into small pieces and soak in 1 cup water.

      2. If you are using dried coconut, cut the coconut, soak it in 1 cup water for 1 hour and bring to boil in same water.

      3. In a mixer, add the coconut along with the water in which soaked/boiled and all remaining ingredients.

      4. Grind to form a smooth consistency.

      Tadka:

      1. Take a small wok and add 1-2 teaspoon oil to it.

      2. When the oil heats up in few seconds, add curry leaves and urad dal.

      3. Let the curry leaves and urad dal pop in the oil for few seconds (8-10 seconds). They will get burnt if done anymore.

      4. Put the tadka in the chutney.

      5. Whip the curd in a small bowl with a spoon and add to the chutney. Mix well. The chutney is ready.

Save some for me when you make. I can eat a big bowl of coconut chutney. I am trying my hand at sambhar but yet to achieve the taste that mom makes. J

forgot to mention that rai(mustard seeds) is also to be added in tadka. It struck me later that I forgot.

      Tadka:

      1. Take a small wok and add 1-2 teaspoon oil to it.

      2. When the oil heats up in few seconds, add curry leaves, rai and urad dal.
