ELF Shine Eraser Oil Blotting Sheets
Hey all beauty geeks!!! I picked up this product for my recent vacation. I have a combination skin with an oily T-zone. I saw these at my local Target store while picking up other travel-related items. Since these were extremely cheap, I didn’t mind trying them. So, lets see whether this impulse buying helped me in hot weather???
About ELF Shine Eraser Oil Blotting Sheets:
ELF Shine Eraser Oil Blotting Sheets is part of the Essential line of extremely affordable ELF cosmetics. The website describes the product as:

Green Tea Extract helps re-texturize skin and mask facial imperfections. Travel pack fits neatly into your purse for on-the-go touch-ups. 50 sheets included. ‘
The website and the packaging carries these instructions to use them:
‘To use just gently pull out a Shine Eraser sheet from the envelope. Blot sheet in T-Zone area, and flip the sheet and blot any all other facial areas needing oil absorption. Use whenever skin needs to be mattified and refreshed. ‘
Price : $1.

My take on ELF Shine Eraser Oil Blotting Sheets:
ELF Shine Eraser Oil Blotting Sheets is a cheaper alternative to many other brands such as NYX, Clean & Clear, CVS and many other. Well, the claims made by the company are little too much in my opinion. I am sure a sheet of blotting paper can’t reduce your pore size or hide any facial imperfections. However, these tiny blotting sheets are able to absorb facial oil to a certain extent. I usually require two-three sheets to make my T-zone completely shine free. I may need to use them twice a day depending on the weather I am in.4
Texture: The blotting sheets are very thin and have a waxy feel to them. They have a spotty look to them which made me think they might be gritty to use. However, they are very smooth and not at all rough.
Efficiency: These sheets do remove excess oil from the face. The good part is that they don’t leave behind any residue or disturb my makeup in anyway. However, as I mentioned earlier, one sheet is not enough for me and I end up using 2-3 sheets.
Packaging: The blotting sheets come in a cardboard packaging which has a tab to open and take out the paper. The dispenser is thin and a right size to carry around in a purse.
What I like about ELF Shine Eraser Oil Blotting Sheets:
- Removes oil to a considerable extent.
- Extremely affordable.
- Smooth to use.
- Travel friendly.
- Not tested on animals.
What I do not like about ELF Shine Eraser Oil Blotting Sheets:
- One sheet is not enough.
- Blotting sheets are waxy and crinkly to use.
- Unavailability in India.
Final Impression:
ELF products are winners mostly because of their price. I may need more than 1 sheet, but since I get 50 sheets for a mere 1$, I do not mind that. The nearest competitor brand charges me 5$. Its a good buy. But please remember you always get what you pay for.
