Elle 18 Color Pops 14 Cocoa Creme
Hello lovely ladies, hope you all are fine. By now you all must be aware of my lobe for brown and nude lip shades as I love subtle and pulled together look for my office. So today’s review is about one such brown lippy in my stash- Elle 18 Shade no 14 Cocoa Crème.
About Elle 18 Color Pops:
A blast of color with the punch of cocoa. Available in 25 trendy shades, the intense moisturizing core protects your lips.
Key Ingredients: Cocoa Butter.
Quantity: 4.3 ml.
Shelf life: 30 months from mfd.date.
Shade: No.14 Cocoa Crème- brown in colour with a bit of orange undertones.
Texture: This lippy has creamy texture a bit waxy as well.
Packaging: These color pops come in black plastic opaque bullet secured with a black colored cap. The packaging is not very sturdy or neat- kind of just ok-ok. There is no indication of lipstick shade on the packaging whatsoever, however on the bottom there is a sticker containing the details of the shade.
My take on Elle 18 Color Pops Cocoa Creme:
The lippy is brown in colour which gives a kind of sophisticated and kind of nude look to my lips. The shade is sheer and even on layering it didn’t look heavy or OTT.
Owing to its waxy texture I need to be a bit careful for a neat application otherwise it looks a bit untidy, however the lippy glides easily on lips and never dries out my lips or feel tacky- may be due to the presence of that Cocoa Butter ingredient in the middle of the stick.
As like other lippies in this range, the smell is on stronger side for me and it didn’t feel nice either. Apart from this thing I also have a complaint regarding its poor staying power, it stay put maximum for 1.5-2 hours on my lips and after snacks or a light meal it disappears completely without leaving any stains or tint behind.
What I like about Elle 18 Color Pops Cocoa Creme:
- Beautiful shade- brown with orange undertones.
- Affordable and widely available.
- Available in a variety of shade.
- Creamy texture- easy to apply and rich in pigmentation.
- Long shelf life.
- Sheer and didn’t look heavy even after layering it.
What I don’t like about Elle 18 Color Pops Cocoa Creme:
- Waxy texture.
- Smells weird.
- Complete list of ingredients is not mentioned.
- Poor staying power.
- Difficult to identify the shade by looking at just the packaging.
Shall I recommend this? This lippy is a nice nude shade for me as it is a nice brown shade which didn’t wash me out and in my opinion this could be MLBB for lot of girls. Although these lippies have some thumbs-down points, yet for those who don’t want to splurge thousands of bucks on lippies can try it for sure as these are one of the best low-budget lippies available in the market.
